Hey guys...we never do Disney breakfasts, but I happened to get the Crystal Palace res for 8:10 AM with a 9:00 AM park opening on Dec 1. As far as I have read, we can likely get into the park around 7:45 to allow time to get to our breakfast? Also, generally how long does a typical Crystal Palace breakfast take with getting all the characters around to your table? I want to be in the park for the 9 AM opening, so wondering if 50 minutes would be enough?

So much will depend on what time they actually seat you. 50 min will likely NOT be enough time, but if you're seated before 8:00, you might be back outside for the opening. However, the opening SHOW will be at 8:55 and the ropes will drop when they are finished.

We had an 8:05 breakfast reservation there recently. We were there about an hour, but there was only two of us. We meet all the characters and had our breakfast. They didn't seem to be very busy that morning either.

We eat here every trip and it usually takes anywhere from 60-90 mins, usually depends on when the characters come around. We were just there on Friday and had an 8:15 reservation and didn't get out until close to 10, we were seated on time maybe a couple mins early. We have been a party of 2 for the last couple trips.

remember you will behind the people that are there waiting for the opening show as rope drop is past Crystal Palace and the park opening could still change to 8 from 9

They are not super busy that time of morning in my experience... but it seems like others have the opposite. when I had an 8am PPO, checked in about 15 minutes beforehand, seated right at 8, saw all the characters (some 2x) and were out of there in time for the opening show.

I have done Crystal Palace twice at 8:05 am with children. We had plenty of time to eat and see the characters. We didn't see the opening show, but were out about 9ish and did well with the rides.

Get to the park early and check in as soon as you are let through, The CM's do not follow ADR order that early, they just seat those PPO guests as they check in. IMO 50 minutes is cutting it close, and especially given that CP is a pretty expensive meal, it seems a shame to be watching the clock. I suggest asking to pay the bill when you are seated so that you can leave after you are finsiehed eating and have seen all the characters. With that said, we were able to have breakfast and be at Tom Sawyers island before they dropped the rope.

I agree with the pp - enjoy the meal and don’t worry so much about that opening

Plus - it’s disney - there is enough time still for them to make it an 8am opening

We have done 8am CP breakfast and have one coming up next month during our trip. We have always finished right at 9am when the park opens.
