Crystal Palace or O'hana's before MVMCP?

My family and I will be going to MVMCP for the first time in late November and I'm trying to decide between a pre-party dinner at either the Crystal Palace or at O'hana's. Any opinions? We've never eaten at either place before. :confused3

I vote for O'Hana. That is one of our favorites.

I agree that 'Ohana is great, but I'd go with Crystal Palace, which is also good, since you wouldn't have to leave the park.

I would say CP. We really enjoy it there and we actually liked it better there than Ohana.

'Ohana I can take or leave, but I like the Crystal Palace! The food is good and the restaurant is very pretty. I also like Tigger more than Stitch. :)

But if you haven't been to the Poly, it might be worth a ride over to check it out. And if you like to shop, they have decent gift shops (one called Bou-tiki! :lmao: )

Have a good time, whatever you do! :)

I'm not sure when you're going to MVMCP, but I'm going on 11/28, and the latest time CP had available for dinner was 3:50. They're not open during the party, so I think they take their last diners maybe at 5.

We're going on 11/28 too!! :wave2: We're eating at 'Ohanas that night before the party (as it's a tradition).

We tried to get a late seating for CP on Sunday 11/26 (the night of another MVMCP) but the latest we could get was 5 p.m. (they were seating until 6 p.m. and that was a few days after the 180 mark). Good luck whatever you choose and if you pick CP (as we love both and are going to both) hopefully you will get a cancellation so you'll be able to eat there for dinner before the MVMCP. :goodvibes

You could do a late lunch at CP and get into the park a whole lot earlier. If you want a little daylight time there befor the party. And that would save a few dollars, I think lunch is a bit cheaper then dinner. And that way you could snack during MVMCP.
When we were at MNSSHP a week ago the CMs were letting guests in as early as 1:30 / 2 Pm ish when they had a confirmed ARD at CP, and were staying over for the party. And they only had to use there party tickets.
I would check with Disney on this to make sure you can get in early with only the party tickets. Call CP directly?
I do know that when we have gone to MNSSHP for the last 4 years that we have gotten in as early as 2 or 3 PM using only our party tickets. However, all things are subject to change!
I would hate to have early ADRs and not be able to get in with the party tickets.
So I guess this is another vote for CP- it would be so easy to go to the party after dinner!

Crystal Palace for sure! A favorite of mine. Since the menu change at 'Ohana, I have no desire to eat there again :(

I wasn't that impressed with the dinner buffet at CP (everything seemed to be sitting under those lights for too long), but you certainly can't beat the location! It could be a great time saver to book one of the last seatings and then be in the thick of it once the party starts.

Maybe we'll see you there! :goodvibes

Another vote for Crystal Palace. We did this last year and I think our reservation was for about 4:30, I made sure our 3 ds did not eat a big lunch, just a snack to hold them over. As soon as we were done eating we went to get our wristbands and were ready to get the party started, MVMCP that is!!We did get the cookies and hot chocolate but we didnt have to waste more time getting snacks, meals etc. while the party was going on. You will love it.Have a great time.

I vote for CP. We have done that the last 2 MVMCP, last seating availalble and we enjoyed it very much.

This year we decided to do 1900 Park Faire prior to the party.
