Crystal Palace or Garden Grill?

Ok I overbooked our ADR's for our trip and just realized today. We are still 5 months away so its not a total disaster, but I've got to decide what to drop. We are going to be on DDP and our kids requested to dine w/ Mickey and the Princesses, so I can't drop CM or Askerhus. DH requires Boma for each trip, so thats non negotiable. So I need to cut either Crystal Palace or Garden Grill for dinner. DH and I have ate at CP before for dinner and loved it, even though there have been many bad review on here. We have never tried GG, but I used to love LTT (when the charectors were there) and the kids have not been to either.

Which would you cancel and why?

I would cancel Crystal Palace IMO! We didn't enjoy the food there that much, and the workers didn't seem very happy.

But at Garden Grill, the characters are SO FUNNY. You get to see Chip & Dale, Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto!
And the food is just incredible. Yummm. SO good. We go there at least once everytime we go! Haha.

I still love Liberty Tree Tavern, though even though there aren't characters!
It's my 2nd favorite restaurant in Disney. (Aside from Chef Mickey's. )

I voted before I read it-I thought you were gonna ask which is better. Anyway-I'd loose Crystal Palace. Garden Grill is awesome and the food is fantastic!

I would cancel CM.

Mickey is at Garden Grill along with Chip, Dale and Goofy. The character interaction here is so much better than CM IMHO. I also liked the food better here for dinner better than the CM dinner.

And Pooh is well, Pooh. This is our favorite buffet in WDW. And if you were going to CM for breakfast CP has a great breakfast too!

We've been to both for dinner w/a 5 yr old girl...CP is beautiful & the food is great & you can have as much as you like w/o waiting on your waiter...the shape of the garden grill keeps you from seeing the waiter & the characters plus the food was mediocre.

Garden Grill used to be one of our favs, so we've eaten here probably 4 times, and the last 2x have been horrid: disgusting food, restaurant revolving broken for short periods of time both times, characters were confused, awful service,and chaos at check-in. We've eaten everywhere, multiple times, so after 2x, we noticed a pattern, and have cut it from our list. It's too bad as it's the only place to see Chip and Dale. I would definitely cut it...You do know it's only available for dinner now, right?

We've been to Crystal Palace a ton of times for all meals, and it's still ok. Consistently great character interaction, fresh/hot food and wonderful atmosphere. Service can be spotty, but not much needed as it's buffet.

Lose the GG. CP is one of our favorites with great food selection, character interaction, and beautiful setting.

In the past, we loved the GG as well, but this year they changed their menu and we were extremely disappointed in our meal. We are not picky people at all and we didn't really care for anything!
