Ok so I am going to WDW for the first time in Dec and I really would like to do a character breakfast, I was thinking about CRT as lots of people say its lovely eating in the Castle however I am 22yrs old and its going to be either my mum who is57yrs old or my sister who is 25yrs old coming with me so will it look really weird going to a breakfast at this age as most people will have little kids?? Also if its not too weird which would you recommend more CP or CRT?? and one last question when you ring for your PS if the place you want is full up can u ask there and then for your second choice??

Thanks

Hi there!

Definitely it is okay to do a character breakfast if you have no children with you. Whenever we have been there have been lots of children but there does also tend to be a few groups with none. The servers will make you very welcome whether you have any little darlings or not ;)

As to which you'd prefer - which characters appeal to you most? Winnie the Pooh or the princesses?

Cheers

Karen

ETA - yes if the first place is full you can try your next choice on one phonecall :)

we just ate at the Chrystal Palace for Breakfast this past sunday. It was us, my kids, who are 18 and 20 (but the 18 year old looks about 27), and my mother, who is 78 (it was for her birthday)..

we did not feel at all out of place....the characters spent just as much time at our table as at others, and they made a really big deal for my mom's birthday (it was adorable)....

and besides the characters, the buffet breakfast was excellent!....a wonderful selection of food...

we've never eaten at the cinderella breakfast so i can't compare for you...
the reason is that you have to put down a deposit guarantee for that breakfast, and since i'm never sure if we'll actually make it there, i prefer the reservations that don't require guarantees.....

Please don't think because you don't have children with you that you would be out of place at a character meal. DH and I are going on our own in September and we plan on a couple of character meals. DS and his GF are going in a couple of weeks and I have booked them 1900 Park Fayre and Crystal Palace.

I would urge you to consider 1900 Park Fayre at GF as the resort is beautiful, the characters are from Mary Poppins and the food is far and away the best.
