Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's breakfast?

Hi all! I have an ADR at Chef Mickey's for breakfast on the 26th, but I have heard very good things about The Crystal Palace's breakfast and was thinking about switching should an opening arise. I was wondering, based on anyone's experiences, which breakfast experience they prefer more? Thanks!

It depends on which characters you like more, Mickey and the gang (Chef Mickey's), or Pooh and the gang (Crystal Palace). They're both decent breakfast buffets. If you have no character preference, I'd stick with Crystal Palace, as it is much prettier and is in the Magic Kingdom, so no special trip to the Contemporary is needed (unless you're staying there, in which case CM's is more convenient.)

I like Crystal Palace much more. Its prettier, cleaner, food is better. C.Palace has an omlette station/made to order eggs (here is where you can get choc chip pancakes)....the characters are extremely adorable and really take their time to interact with you. I found Chef Mickeys to be dirty and the food was not that good. The only positive thing here are the characters.

One morething...one bonus of C.Palace is that its inside MK already.

Pooh's puffed french toast  at the Crystal Palace! They also have a good omelette station and breakfast lasagna which is popular with many (I usually have a bit, but it's really sweet). As PP mentioned inside Magic Kingdom is a nice perk if that is your park for the morning. We like either prepark opening or around 10:30 for a break/rest.

We LOVE Crystal Palace I think it is probably our favorite place to eat in WDW, probably because of all the memories there...it was our first and only place that we dined at when my DS9 was only 3...he absolutely loves Tigger...still does! Anyways right before tigger got to the table he had to go to the bathroom! I was like seriously...anyways we went as fast as we could but he still missed Tigger. He was sooo upset...but we had the nicest waiter and he "arranged" for my son to have a special meet with Tigger...my son was on cloud nine! Anyways since then Crystal Palace is always a must do for us! We just love it there and my DS9 still lights up when he sees Tigger and now my DS2 is following big brothers lead and lights up just as much when he sees Tigger

We like chef mickeys too...I was hoping to skip it on our next trip Bc even if we like it I thought there were other options...lol...but my DS2 really is obsessed with Mickey lol so chef mickeys it is

Oh yes, breakfast lasagna is my absolute fave! And pooh's puffed french toast is heavenly!

I prefer CP...I think the food is better, the CP is beautiful and I found the character interaction better. Maybe just an off day but the characters at Chef Mickeys were too rushed. My kids are now 13 and 15 and still want to go to CP...we visit WDW one every 3-5 years and it has become a tradition for us.

Another vote for CP. All of our kids all truly loved the food (as did we). Surprisingly, it turned out to be one of our favorites.

For me the choice is easy; I say Crystal Palace without a shadow of a doubt. The atmosphere is much nicer, the food options including a fresh omelette station and the Breakfast Lasagna are very good. They also have Tigger whom in my opinion along with Goofy should be the top characters in Disney over Mickey and Minnie, LOL. In spite of Mickey, Minnie and friends at CM, it can't help make up for the worst food in WDW (my opinion), the filthy stations, extremely loud atmosphere, and the less than average service.

CP, hands down! It is my family's number one pick for breakfast on our MK days. We like to get an ADR before park opening (or at the latest available breakfast time) to make sure we aren't eating while attraction lines are short, though!

Thanks everyone for the advice! Hopefully something at Crystal Palace will open up, then. Fingers crossed!

Definitely Crystal Palace!! Great breakfast buffet! If you can get a pre park ADR- that's even better!

Food and characters are subjective, but CP gets bonus points for being in MK; no wasted travel time.
