Crystal Palace on MNSSHP night

We have eaten at LTT before the halloween party. While the characters were great, the food was just okay IMHO. More like diner food. So, we have never eaten at Crystal Palace and I'm considering trying that restaurant before the halloween party. Has anyone been on that evening? How was your experience? Thanks!!

We've eaten there before parties. It was great. I usually eat around 5:30p.

They do not do anything Halloween-like like LTT does though.

It can be crowded with lots of people waiting to be seated just as LTT so I'd get there at least 15 minutes before my ADR.

They take ADRs up till 6:00p.

We ate there before MVMCP. It was DD's 2nd birthday and she is a BIG Pooh fan. It's a buffet, so everyone can find something they like. We have eaten there twice, and have a reservation for next week, so we obviously like it. However, whether because it's a buffet, or the restaurant's so large, or we just have bad luck, our meals take forever there. We have had to wait both times for the last, elusive character to visit our table (one time the management moved us to chairs by the hostess for our visit with Tigger). That said, there was nothing better than seeing my DDs' faces when all of their favorite characters came by.

We love eating dinner at Crystal Palace. The last 2 years we ate there before MNSSHP. Around 5:30 is a great time to get ressies. Wonderful food and fun with all the characters.

We ate there before MNSSHP on 10-31-06. The food was great and our server was good as well. However it was packed. We expected that it would be because it was halloween night. All of the characters did not make it around to our table, although our waiter did manage to get a couple of them there. I am sure that it was because of the large crowd. We would eat there again. I thought it was one of the best buffets we had.

What time does the party start/what time would be good for an ADR?

What time does the party start/what time would be good for an ADR?

The party officially starts at 7:00p. The park closes between 6:00 - 7:00p to get ready and clear it out.

Most eat somewhere between 4:00p and 6:00p. I like eating while the park is closed so around 5:00p - 5:30p to be done just before 7:00p.

Some like eating early aroud 4:00p - 4:30p so they are all done and ready to go for the party. This means they'll be done by the time the park closes at 6:00p. For the hour the park is closed, they keep one land open and the rides are running so you can hang out there till 7:00p.

It's all a matter of preference.

I called to make our ADR for CP and the CM asked if we were doing MNSSHP that night and I said yes. She reccommended reservations between 515 and 530. She said that way we would be done with time to spare for the party. We are goind 10/19.
