Crystal Palace Lunch vs. Dinner

Just wondering...what's the main difference between Crystal Palace's lunch and dinner?

Here is the lunch menu and here is the dinner menu.

I think a lot of people like dinner because of the prime rib and shrimp.

We're booked for lunch in January. :)

I've done both. There wasn't prime rib for lunch and I can't remember if there was shrimp or not, but almost everything else was close to the same. We mostly go there just for the characters. I am not a fan. Been there several times and the food is mediocre to me. If I had to go again, I'd get lunch because it's cheaper or even breakfast because that's even cheaper and there's characters at all of the meals. That's JMO though..you might like it. I think lunch is like $5 cheaper or around there.

Just an FYI, that lunch menu says it's from Aug, but that's a really old menu.
The main differences between lunch/dinner:
lunch has several different cold items including lunch meat (ham and turkey) and the main meats are flank steak and pork tenderloin.

Dinner has prime rib and turkey and peel and eat shrimp.

Dessert are different for each meal period also.

Thanks...I had reviewed the allears menus and it seemed like lunch included coldcuts, etc. We have an ADR for our January trip for lunch because DD is a Winnie the Pooh junkie, but I was wondering if we should go for dinner instead. DD and I are vegetarian and DH is a sandwich addict, so it probably doesn't matter if we are going for lunch or dinner if the main difference is prime rib and shrimp.

Hey HLAuburn...which day are you booked for in January for lunch? We're going on January 24th!

Hey amarberry :)

We're booked for CP lunch on Jan 28. It's our 1st park day. We're on the dining plan, but CP is our only TS lunch. We booked dinners at all the other places, thinking it was more "bang for the buck". :teeth:

We're on the dining plan too and CP is our only lunch as well. We were on the dining plan during our trip in Sept., but it was part of the "free dining plan" promotion so I wasn't as concerned as getting the "bang for the buck" on that trip. This time, it's a different story! I'm actually pretty excited...we have, what I think, are some great ADR's...Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Le Cellier, Spoodles, CRT dinner, PSB dinner. I'm really looking forward to this trip (it's our longest trip to WDW yet...9 nights). Is this your DD's first trip?

Yep, it will be DD's first trip! I hope she enjoys it! It's really Mommy and Daddy who want to go, but I really think she'll like it. We've been twice pre-baby, so we did the couple thing, but I'm looking forward to a much different experience bringing along a baby!

We have ADRs at Le Cellier, 'Ohana, Chef Mickey, CP, and Artist Point. My parents will be there for a few nights, so they're watching DD while we have a nice, non-rushed dinner alone . I don't think I remember what those are like... :rotfl:

Have you stayed at POP before? We stayed at the AllStars on our last trip and we really liked them. We'll be at POP our last night there (long story, but we couldn't add the extra night onto the package). I'm kinda looking forward to checking it out, even if it is just one night.

We stayed at Pop in Sept. and were VERY happy with it (we also loved the price :) ). I was pretty nervous because we had never stayed at a value resort before, but obviously, we liked it enough that we are returning. DH thinks that it is a wonderful place for a toddler because of the usage of primary colors and the oversized icons.

You'll probably be surprised with how much your DD enjoys the trip! Our DD was 14 months old when we went in Sept. and we had a GREAT time. The first day or two, she was a little hesitant and confused, but after a couple of days she would start bouncing when she would she characters or Cindy's castle. It was adorable! I'm anxious to see how much she remembers this time. We also did the pre-baby trip...it was great, but WDW with a child is so much fun.
