I've only eaten at CP once for lunch and wanted to try it again, but I was wondering what dinner was like? Is there a huge difference in the offerings to justify the difference in cost? Which would you recommend?
Thanks

I just changed our Crystal Palace breakfast res to dinner on a different day. We've already done breakfast there and wanted to try something different. Plus we are on the regular dining plan, so one TS is one TS. You may want to consider adding the plan if you are staying onsite.

from what I've read though, if you are paying outright, not much of a difference between lunch and dinner buffet.

I am on the dining plan I just noticed the cost when I checked the menu and the tip is based off the cost also. So if lunch and dinner arn't much different then I would go with lunch since it would save me more on the tip:rotfl: I know it's not much of a difference but I am huge on saving money wherever I can;)

Lunch and dinner aren't that much different as far as the offerings are concerned. I prefer lunch because it is not usually too crazy and it is a nice break from the park without actually having to leave. :) Also, dinnertime can get pretty crazy, especially around/during Wishes/MSEP. If you do decide to go for dinner, go early (before 6:30) or late (after whenever Wishes is) and you should be fine. :)

We've done both. Both times the food has been good, but we like it for lunch better. Like the PP said, it's just a nice break in the day.

LUNCH!! Especially if you're paying and are not on the DDP! It's $12 more a person at dinner (for 2 people that would be like a 3rd person's cost for lunch!) and barely different from lunch EXCEPT no pecan squares (which I love and missed at dinner!) Definitely not worth the extra $$$ for dinner IMHO.:sad2:

I've done both lunch and dinner, if your going "out of pocket" a late lunch is cheaper by far. But if your using DDP a dinner time is fine. They offer more items during dinner but we didn't notice theres still plenty of choices for lunch.

The only difference between lunch and dinner that i remember is that the peel and eat shrinp is only at dinner. Lunch is a much better deal. We enjoy both.

When making ADR's over the phone this year, we wanted breakfast but they only had lunch and dinner. We had dinner there before and DH wasn't crazy about it. I asked the CM what the difference was between lunch and dinner and she said only difference is that at dinner they serve the peel and eat shrimp. If you are paying out of pocket and shrimp is not a deal breaker for you, I would go w/lunch since it's cheaper.

My two sons and there family went for dinner last year. They both complainded about the food. My sons rarely complain and can always find something on a buffet, but not this time. They will never go back.

One of my sons that did not like Crystal Palace really enjoyed O'Hanas. He went twice on the trip.
