Has anyone eaten gluten free at Crystal Palace for lunch? What sorts of things do they have gluten free that would appeal to a somewhat picky (likes traditional kid food-chicken nuggets etc) 7year old? Is it a buffet?

It is a buffet. If you talk to the chef they can prepare safe foods for your kid that are similar to things on the buffet. They made my son grilled chicken and veggies with rice and fresh fruit.

We are a gluten free family with a very picky 6 year old. We had lunch there in October and had a wonderful lunch at The Cyrstal Palace. The Chef was amazing! It is a basic buffet with plaenty of kid friendly fruit, potatoes and salad options. The Chef then made us some gluten free chicken nuggets and fries for the table. As a special bonus they also gave us a bunch of treats to have out in the park like cookies, chocolate bars and other sweets. We will be booking this again for our next trip.

Oh, the characters were great too!:hyper:

Hey there,

Honestly I wouldn't recommend Crystal Palace as a viable option for Gluten Free dining. It was one of the worst experiences we had on our vacation in 2011. Admittedly they could have replaced the manager / head chef since then, but at the time it didn't seem like they wanted to accomodate our Gluten allergy at all, not to mention the one didn't know what gluten was and seemed rather offended when we asked about cross contamination and wanted something prepared fresh in the back as opposed to taking off of the buffet.

Cheers
