I currently have two ressies for CP on our last day. The plan is to spend the morning and early afternoon @ MK and start our drive home (7 hours) around 3:00. Our options are:

Get up REALLY early (after somewhat late night watching illuminations the night before), check out, leave for MK @ 7:15 to be at our 8:05 a.m. Crystal Palace reservation. We'll be there before the crowds are, don't have to wait for opening ceremony with hundreds of others, and can eat a CS meal for lunch at our leisure whenever we want.

OR

We can sleep in a little, CS bkfst @ boardwalk bakery, get to MK 9-9:30ish, hit the park with the crowds, snack a little when starving, and eat a relaxing lunch @ 2:10 at CP. Then, rested and fed, hit the car and head home.

What do you think?

I haven't eaten at the CP for breakfast, but we have eaten there a couple times for lunch.

We found the food to be very good with a large variety of dishes. We also found that we gorged ourselves too!! :teeth: We didn't eat the rest of the day.

So, you could gorge yourself in the a.m. and have the rest of the day to work it off, or you could gorge yourself in the afternoon and have a FULL belly for the ride home.

Either way, feel full and enjoy!

**Sorry not much help** :sunny:

I would do the breakfast at CP! The experience is worth getting up early. Also, it's very cool to get into the park early before everyone else. It's so quiet and peaceful.

I would agree with all that IF...it wasn't your check out day. I wouldn't want to feel so rushed on check out day-especially when your facing a long ride home. I really love breakfast at CP but lunch and dinner are nice there too.

How about breakfast at Main St Bakery to hit MK earlier?

Both breakfast and lunch are good at The Crystal Palace. I would recommend lunch in this instance beacuse you won't have to rush around and deal with packing, checking out, etc... and trying to get to the MK at a set time. On my last several trips, I have done lunch at the CP on my last day before leaving for the airport.

I know it's your last day & tempting to cram as much as possible, but I think it's more relaxing & "vacation" like to take it easy in the am & enjoy a leisurely lunch as the last MK activity. We had an 8am at CRT, not even our last day, & it was extremely stressful getting there on time even though we weren't late. We loved CP at lunch - save room for those yummy mini desserts if you go then!!

I would definitely do Crystal Palace in the am. We do this on every one of our trips because you get to get into the Magic Kingdom before the crowds. You can get some awesome photos. It is definitely worth it. This also gets you a head start into Fantasyland before an incredibly huge crowd gets there. Another suggestion is to go straight ot toontown after the breakfast because the lines for the characters in the judges tent are not long at all this early in the morning. This will work out great if you have someone who wants to the princesses in the judges tent.

We have eaten at CP for both breakfast and lunch and enjoyed each one. However, breakfast is our very favorite. The 8:05 reservation is great because the park is empty when you go in. We have made an 8:05 reservation again this year. However, you need to do what will best fit your schedule. Just don't forget to cancel one...
