We are thinking about doing breakfast here one morning. I have 2 DD's, 9 and 14. Is it a buffet or is it served family style? Would like your opinions please.:)

It's a buffet.

It's one of our favorite breakfasts. My girls love it.

It has an omelet table and they'll also make a Mickey pancake to order.

The breakfast lasagna is infamous and delicious too!

We are eating breakfast here on our last day, its my middle sons 10th birthday. So we are eating breakfast early then flying out mid afternoon, I can't wait I know he will be excited.

Oh good, I was hoping it was a buffet. We really like 1900 Park Fair at GF but wanted to try something different. And I love omelets. Thanks for the info.:)

i love the food, interaction can be very hit and miss, an 8:05 ADR on a non-EMH is awesome.

We always do this one. I love the puffed french toast. My husband loves the breakfast lasagna. Last time when we were walking past the CP, Richard looked at me and said "Do you think I could run in there, fill my hands with breakfast lasagna and make it out of there with no one catching me?" :lmao:

O.K. You have peaked my interest. What exactly is breakfast lasagna?:confused3

This is our favorite character meal so far. We've been for breakfast twice and loved it. Fantastic character interaction. It's just DH and I and at 1900 PF we were completely ignored by the characters. And the servers were great, too. So friendly! Our last time there, our waitress was a great girl named Esperanza. She's the best!

And the food...oh my! DH loves the puffed french toast! We're trying it for dinner in September. My mouth is watering already....

Jasminetigger, here is part of the recipe that can be found at http://allearsnet.com/din/rec_blas.htm for Breakfast Lasagna

Assembly
8 pancakes
6 waffles
6 cups crumbled pound cake
(Use the recipes above, or your own recipes. Store-bought/frozen are also OK.)

1 cup frozen raspberries
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 1/2 quarts custard (recipe above)
3 bananas
1 TB. butter

Put a layer of waffles in a buttered casserole dish. Sprinkle a quarter of the pound cake over the waffles. Peel and slice the bananas. Layer with half of each of the following: the cut bananas, frozen raspberries, and frozen blueberries. Sprinkle half of the remaining pound cake over the fruit, then top with the rest of the fruit. Top the fruit with a layer of pancakes, the sprinkle the rest of the pound cake on top. Press down on the layers to pack firmly. Slowly add the custard mix until the entire dish is saturated.

Baking and Garnishing

2 1/2 cups pastry cream (recipe above)
1 banana
1/2 pint your favorite fresh berries
1/4 cup brown sugar

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 60 minutes. (Oven thermometer placed in center of dish should register 165 degrees.) Top the lasagna with a layer of pastry cream. Slice the banana and layer on top of cream. Sprinkle sugar on top and place casserole under the broiler until browned. Garnish with fresh fruit and serve.

Here is the recipe for Puffed French Toast- which I have made at home. It's kinda like someone combined french toast with fried dough :cloud9: :rolleyes1 Only at disney.... (Except I just admitted I have made it at home. )

Serving Size 6

Ingredients:

4 teaspoons cinnamon
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 each eggs
2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
12 slices bread
oil -- for frying

Method:

1. Combine 3/4 cup sugar with cinnamon and set aside.

2. Mix egg, 2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar, salt, vanilla and milk until well blended.

3. Slowly add flour and baking powder and mix until smooth.

4. Cut bread diagonally into triangles.

5. Dip bread triangles in batter, allowing excess to drip off. Fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides. Drain on absorbent paper towel. While toast is still warm, roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture.

Oh my gosh! Both of those sound so good. I was totally wrong about the breakfast lasagna. I thought it was an egg dish. This sounds so much better though. Cant wait to try them both. Just made an ADR. Thanks for the info.:)

I am eating here for my birthday breakfast dinner...and I am just so excited.
I can't wait...I want to try the breakfast langana, and the puffed french toast, and I love omlets. So I should be set, with a nice cup of tea.
Unfornately it will be on EMH morning, but it was the only day I could schedule it.

Do they have the puffed french toast and breakfast lasanga everyday?

Crystal Palace is a can't miss for our family next visit. We were there just last week. The food is very good. Dh and I didn't care for ther breakfast lasagna as much as I thought we would. Great taste but we thought it was a bit mushy. Everything else was out of this world good!

We will be eating breakfast there in a couple of weeks. I managed to get an 8:10 ADR! We've had lunch there before, but this will be our first time for breakfast and getting to experience an (almost) empty park.:cool1:

We love this place and always get a 8:05 reservation so we can walk down and empty Main Street. I love the fruit and DH is a huge fan of the puffed french toast. Very good food here.
