Hi! We booked an early lunch at CP for 11:30 next month. Now after reading several posts about meals at CP, it seems most people prefer an early breafast meal there. We haven't been there before so I'm not sure what to expect. Is it worth keeping my reservation, or should I try for an earlier one? It sounds like mid March could be quite busy !?
Thanks for any tips!

We have never had lunch there, but I can agree with anyone who really enjoys the breakfast. The puffed french toast alone is making us book it again for our next trip.

If the park opens at 9 you can get reservations as early as 8, which is what we did. It was nice to be let in early, walk down a lonely main street and be out of breakfast before rope drop.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks! Puffed French toast does sound great! I think I'm going to see if an earlier reservation is available! : )

Never had lunch (or dinner) there, but like the breakfast. Crystal Palace is a buffet for all meals and I think a breakfast buffet is generally better them the other meals.

We have had breakfast and lunch at CP. DH and I agreed that we enjoyed breakfast more. We had an 8:15 ADR and it seemed much more relaxed than lunch. The food was great! They have chocolate Mickey Waffles! :)

I'm surprised no one has mentoioned this yet :confused3 The last time my family ordered breakfast there (breakfast ressies) they were the last breakfast ressies available. The breakfast food was plentiful and hot, and before we had time for seconds, they were rolling out some of the lunch items. Worked out great for us

We have only done lunch/brunch and have always had a great experience. The choices of chicken, beef, pork, fish are excellent. Lunch offers a nice break from the busy day and is a relaxed environment (except running for the characters!). You can't go wrong.

We've only done lunch there but that is because we like Chef Mickey's for breakfast. The food was fair, but to be honest, we did not care as we were enjoying the kids with the characters and were with friends. Change if you will, but if you can't, you won't know the difference :)

Never had lunch there before, I am a BIG breakfast person. CP is my favorite buffet breakfast, it is soooo yummy! The puffed french toast is delicious, so are the waffles, eggs, yogurt, fruit...etc it's all so good! :thumbsup2

We are not a huge breakfast foods family, and we eat lunch there every trip, and its always great! Lots of choices, and always very good!

We have only done breakfast there, but mostly because my kids eat breakfast foods better than lunch or dinner.

We love the breakfast.

We have done 8:05 several times. At that time you get into MK early while it's almost empty, and usually we are done by rope drop.

We have also made Adr's for 10:30, the last breakfast seating. THis allowed us to get in at RD, tour for a while, then take a break. As noted by PP, a late breakfast seating allows you to be there when they put out lunch foods. But they leave breakfast foods on one side, so you have both kinds of food.

I will say that the late breakfasts have always caused us to wait much longer to be seated. At 8:00 you don't wait too long!

an early (usually 8:05 am) adr on our first MK day is a tradition in this family. Even though we aren't huge Pooh fans, we love the food, the characters are usually good and the best part is walking down Main Street with a lot less people. We then head directly to Dumbo and we know we're on a Disney vacation. As to keeping your current ressie, you can search for a breakfast ADR without cancelling yours beforehand. Just search for the date and time and if they don't have one, then you still have your lunch ADR. If they do, a screen will pop up asking if you want to cancel your existing reservation or make a new one.

We have had both and enjoy both.

I think both are good. It depends one whether you prefer breakfast food or not. We do breakfast at 8:00 to get in before the park opens....so more for the experience than the food. You walk down main street when it is practically empty, get a picture of the castle. Ahhh. We like rope drop because lines are so short, so we finish by rope drop and hit the park.

We've done both and enjoyed them both tremendously. My preference was our late lunch; the food was great and getting out of the June heat was amazing.

Try to get one of the latest breakfast times. Usually towards the end of the breakfast time, they start putting out lunch as well. So you can have a true BRUNCH. You can taste both menu items and maybe that will help in the future in whether or not to do breakfast or lunch or Brunch again. :)

We've done the first lunch seating time before and it worked out great! It was one of my very fave disney meals... if you're there for rope drop, it's a really nice time to settle in for lunch after you've already conquered the morning attractions. We thought the lunch food was SUPERB ( I really love the cold salads!)and of course, the pooh gang was awesome!
We're going to try for first breakfast seating this time, just for the fact of getting in the park early. It's a win/win either way.

We've done both breakfast and lunch, and prefer breakfast. I wasn't too impressed with the selections.
