Hey everyone, our travel agent booked us into Akershus for my DD's birthday in May. I had looked at the menu and didn't like it, so I specifically did not ask to go there, but for some reason she did it anyway. There's no availability to go where we'd really like to go, so I wondered about Crystal Palace. What's it like? Would you recommend it for a seven-year-old? Do they generally make a big deal of birthdays?

The buffet at Crystal Palace is really very good. Enough there to satisfy picky eaters or adult eaters....
The characters are pooh, tigger, piglet, and eeyore....we had a great time for my husbands birthday....they put mickey mouse confetti on the table with streamers .....they did bring out a cupcake with a candle and a card autographed by all the characters...
I think you would enjoy it....Is it his actual birthday? Or going for his birthday celebration time?...

I think you will enjoy it. We celebrated my daughter's bday at CP last year and had a great time. They do all that the previous poster stated. Our girls are not really into Pooh and friends, but they always ask to eat at Crystal Palace. They have a very good time with the characters here! It is a bright, cheery environment that is perfect for a birthday!!!

We dined at Crystal Palace on my son's 13th birthday trip in January. It was great fun! :thumbsup2

Buffet items are diverse and delicious  . Our favourite buffet dinner of the week!

Our DS received a lovely birthday card signed by all the Pooh characters.

Service was excellent, character interaction was great.....we would highly recommend this restaurant!

Hope your DD has a magical Disney birthday! :wizard:

Oh yeah...I know you didn't ask, but...if my TA booked us into somewhere we specifically said we DIDN'T want to go :scared1: , she'd be fired. Period  . Remember, she is working for YOU. :thumbsup2

That is pretty much what they did for my 13 yr old daughters birthday also. I just told them when I check in and they took care of it. She did not really care too much about it but I know she liked it.
