Hi everybody! I hear that you could make early, early morning reservations at the Crystal Palace before the MK opens. Does anybody know anything about that? What time would we need to make our breakfast reservations to get into the MK early? I would LOVE some pics with few people on the street! Thanks :goodvibes

We do this on every trip, and usually make our reservation for an hour or 45 minutes before the park opens. Sometimes we've had to show our ADR number at the gate to get in and sometimes we haven't, so it's a good idea to bring it with you. We usually go a little earlier than our ADR and get the photos before we eat, and then sometimes grab some more after we eat if the park isn't crowded yet. At least once, Photopass photographers have been available early and we got a great photo that way too.

Its a must do at least once! Its so quiet and peaceful.

We had an 8:05 ADR for Crystal Palace and the parked opened at 9:00. Walking down Main Street with less than 10 people was AMAZING!!!:thumbsup2

I will also remember walking into the Magic Kingdom with everyone looking at us wondering why we were not waiting in line with them. If felt good being ahead of the rope drop.

The other memory I will have is an empty Main Street and then later that night trying walk out with thousands of other people.

I would recommend Crystal Palace before the park opens at least once.

We ate at CP at 8:05 when we were there in June. Took great pictures in front of the castle. Loved it so much, we're going at 8:05 am again on Sept 26. Can't wait.

it is awesome to be there with no one else around. And if you time it right, you are just leaving CP in time to jump right on Dumbo....(or whatever slow-loading, long-line having ride you desire!)

Last year we made a reservation for CP at 8:05. We entered early with hardly anyone in the park. It was quite lovely ... and a little spooky too :) We had to wait 5 minutes after giving the hostess our ressie number. We were probably the 5th table to be seated. When we went to the buffet, all the food was recently put out .. and was delicious! Since we were already eating, the characters came over to us right away. We saw each one of them for a long period of time. It was great.

Then, the best part was that we ever finished, full and went to the rope drop in Tomorrow land with only 10 people! All 3 of my sons and the other family we were with got to through "magic dust" to open the park.

My sons (15, 14 and 9) said this was the 2nd best dining experience in WDW. (The CA Grill was #1.) I have a secret trip planned for December and we already have our ressie for the CP. I hope you plan to go there and have a great time!

8:05 is the earliest reservation at CP. We have one for 8:10 in 2 weeks, and I am so excited!

We love early CP breakfast!!! It is one of my favorite things to do at Disney! I love that peaceful walk down Main Street and the beautiful early morning/non-crowded castle pics!

We did the train tour last September and had to be at the park like at 7:15 or so... the park was not yet opened and we got those fantastic pictures as well.

We have never eaten at CP so perhaps we will schedule to do that in one of our upcoming visits....sounds very nice.

We did CRT last year prior to park opening and we loved it. We have great castle shots with few people in them. This year, we booked CP for 8:15. Can't wait :cool1:

I'm trying so hard to get a really early reservation for my sons first birthday! The best I have been able to get was 915am. I keep hoping someone cancels one. We aren't staying onsite, which I am assuming is why I haven't had any luck.

I was unable to get the early am CP ressie for my dear friend who will be traveling in early Dec. was only to snag a 10:15 :headache: But I am so hoping that it will work out for our family's first trip next year. :goodvibes

If you can't get an early ADR at CP, keep trying. For our trip this month, I was unable to get one at my 90 day mark. I kept trying on line every day (sometimes several times a day!), and after 2 weeks got an 8:05 ADR on the day I wanted.

csmom - Thank you for telling us your experience. You give me a little hope!!! I'll keep trying.

We love getting an early ressie for CP too! We do this every trip and the pictures are great! Can't wait for our 8:15 ressie on October 14th! :woohoo:

CP was our first ressies of our week and it was for 8:05 and we only had a couple of minutes to wait. They were still opening everything up. I did get a few shots of the Main St. without many people at all. Even after we came out from eating, the park was a little weird as there were still not many people on the street. It was just 9 so we beat the crowd all the way around:)

Always, ALWAYS have your advanced dining reservations with you when you come to the park as you never know when you will need them.

If you do have early ADR's,having them available to speed up your trip in will be invaluable as you don't have to wait and do the "please get in that line and we'll look it up for you" dance with Cast Members.

Here are some easy storage tips for those #'s:

~ write them down on a slip of paper for your wallet (sorry, but it doesn't occur to some) :teacher:

~Enter them in your cell phone.

~ Take a close up picture of the numbers and locations with your camera. :scratchin

Also, here's a Camera tip: :magnify:

Write down on a piece of paper, your local (at WDW) and home residences and contact phone numbers and take a Photo of it and keep it on your camera as Picture #1. If your camera gets "lost" the person who will find it undoubtedly will look at your photos and see the info for a chance to return it to you. Disney has TONS of Cameras that are turned in with lovely photos and NO IDENTIFYING info, how sad!!!

So I hope that helps!
Have a magical trip.....
Smoochies :love2:
