Made reservations for Crystal Palace for dinner for January 2006 trip. I will be taking a 13 and 15 year old who are pickey eaters. We picked this place as it appeared to have food they would enjoy, but after seeing the updated menu on allears I don't know what to do. :confused3 My niece really wanted to eat their because she loves eeyore. It seems they have changed the menu to fancy foods (not even any plain potatos). Has anyone eaten dinner there the last couple of weeks who can tell me exactly what was on the menu. I don't want to pay this price for cheese pizza and chicken fingers.

I have no idea but I"ll let you know when we come back! Just got reservations for the lunch on the 10th! :cool1:

Ate there Thanksgiving day. I suppose the menu will change slightly for a non holiday but on that day they had, Herb roasted turkey, roasted chicken, prime rib, salmon, mussles in curry sauce, a full salad bar with peel and eat shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes, cornbread and sausage dressing, sweet potato cassarole, collard greens, black eyed pea puree soup, butternut sqaush bisque, and about eight different deserts. For the kids they had chicken strips and mac and cheese. Drinks were included in the $24.99 price. For the amount and quality of food I thought it was actually a pretty good deal.

I have eaten there and have the most picky 13 year old daughter - she loves the food - especially the prawns and salads - there is so much selection I am sure there will be something they like and they can keep going back and helping themselves! Hope you have a good time. This is one of our fav restaurants!

We ate there a few weeks ago and they had the meat and potatoes and veggies but they were not the plain kind, the mashed potatoes were spiced up and delicious, the veggies had a different seasoning on them, basically all the food has flavoring that a younger person may not like but they did have a kiddy station that offered chicken fingers, mac and cheese, pb&j, great dessert bar, salad, bread, fruit salad, etc....if they are very picky eaters you should go to the Liberty Tree Tavern instead

No one in our party cared for CP. It is sort of "fancy" food. I thought that on a buffet that there would be something to please everyone, but in my opinion, I found the food to be limited in choices and above our tastes. We are more in the style of Golden Corral type buffets with traditional southern food. CP is definitely not that.
On a positive note, the character interaction was great and the restaurant was beautiful. I am glad we tried it, but would probably not go back again.

I was thinking about making lunch reservations but the menu on allears looks much more limited than dinner. Anyone able to compare?
