Crystal Palace Check-In

We will be eating at Crystal Palace for Breakfast before the park opens, at 8 something am. How do we get to the park (will there be buses?) and how do we get into the park? Thanks!

Bus services begins one hour prior to park opening. I would allow at least 45 mins for travel time. Insane I know, but be at the bus stop no later than 7:15 am.

Once at MK, there will be a line for "character breakfasts". They should ask for your name and check it off a list, they don't always do this. Just in case, have your ADR confirmation # on you. You'll be surprised how many times we've just walked in without any questions asked.

Enjoy your early breakfast and take LOTS of photos on Main St. It's truly magical being there without the crowds!

When you arrive at MK, there was a gate reserved for ADR's for the character BF on the far right side. You give the CM your name and ADR time and they let you in.

As to how you get to the park? Where are you staying and is it an EMH morning?

Early morning breakfast buses start earlier than one hour prior to the park opening. The OP's ADR is an hour prior to park opening. I agree that you should be at the bus stop no later than 7:15. I would actually be there by 7:00

Thanks so much! We're staying at the villas at wilderness lodge, so we'll probably take the bus over. It's just me and my college roommate going so we're excited. Never went to Crystal Palace before.

I don't know how it will be at Wilderness Lodge Villas, but we stayed at POFQ last June and had 8:05 ressies at CP.

We were at the bus stop at 6:55...did not get a MK bus until 8:00. We were NOT happy, especially considering we checked with concierge the night before, and he ensured us we would be fine. We did get there late, but were still seated without a problem.

This year, we will be driving to the TTC for the same ressie and taking the monorail around.

I agree with all the above except for the checking of reservation numbers. Having done breakfasts at MK four times in the last 18 months before park opening we have never had our ADRs checked once.

You'll have so much fun going into the park with almost the whole park to yourself! Be sure to take lots of pictures of your family in front of the Castle since there won't be any crowds as of yet.
If you can be finished with your breakfast before the park opens you can get to the side of the park that you wish to start on and possibly get to ride before everyone gets there. I looooved eating at the Crystal Palace the atmosphere is wonderful, the food selection is compaired to none other (although my favorite breakfast place is 1900 Park Fare for the food) and being across from the castle taint bad either.
Have fun, and get to the bus early, take your confirmation #'s so you can show the people at the gates.

In 2007 we caught the bus at WL at 7:15 for an 8:05 ADR and it was great we took some cool pictures on Main st with very few people around and even got one of my DD with the castle in the background and no other people in the picture! The bus ride only takes 5 - 10 minutes max. but it's worth getting there early.

This past June there were a few Photopass photogs along Main Street. It was really nice to have them there!
