Give me the good, the bad, and the ugly (surely there isn't any of that!).

Lay it all on the line for me. Pics would be great, too! ;)

I  Crystal Palace breakfast! The food is great! The characters are great! They do a little parade with the kids around the restaurant.

I have no complaints! We last went June 2008 and have ressies for this June!

We LOVE the Crystal Palace breakfast sooo much! The excellent food, the beautiful restaurant, and the characters, you can't go wrong. The only "ugly" or con maybe is that it's SO wonderful, it's SUPER popular so you have to be strategic with your ADR's -what day and what time make all the difference. I don't think you will regret booking there even with a little bit of a wait.

No real bad or ugly. Only Great!:cool1: Our favorite Character Breakfast. Food is always consistent and good. The characters are every interactive. And Piglet in a shade of pink you did not know existed!:rotfl2:

LOL I remember thinking that about Tigger, too! :lmao:

Thanks for the quick replies! I am gonna try to book this for 8AM so we can get into the parks early. :goodvibes

We've tried CP before park opening, but my favorite time is the last breakfast seating. We can get to MK for rope drop, ride lots of rides, then show up at CP hungry and ready to eat!

They have standard breakfast fare, but also make omelets to order!:thumbsup2

The character interaction is great.

And the CP building is quite beautiful.

I recommend it!:goodvibes

We love love love Crystal Palace breakfast. We book this every year. Some years twice. One year three times! Yes we are cuckoo for CP.

And they won't just make you omelets to order, they'll make you any egg to order. Don't want scrambled. Rather have an over easy. No problem, just ask.

One very very important thing that you must do is eat the breakfast lasagna. It is located next to the pastries, fruit and cereal on an island rather than the regular buffet. This glorious yet hideous looking concoction is heaven on earth my friend. One scoop of the breakfast lasagna pays for the whole meal (and this is coming from a woman who tries to eat the cost of breakfast buffets in smoked salmon). It is not a savory recipe. Oh no, it is a sweet and fabulous platter full of banana, blueberries, pudding, pancakes and some other things that may or may not be identifiable. But who cares!? It's all delicious! Many a guest may look at this bowl of goo and be frightened away. Be brave and be delighted.

CP is my absolute favorite Disney breakfast!!! It has the best food, and the best setting!

And the food!! OMG It's so yummy!

The thing next to the Chocolate Mickey Waffle is Puffed French Toast - it's amazing. Like a cross between a donut and french toast - I have dreams about that stuff!
The breakfast pizza is really yummy.
The sausage is tasty, the potatoes were good.
The Pastrami Smoked Salmon is excellent, but the flavor kind of clashes with the sweet stuff like the Waffle and Puffed French Toast.

Another plate:

The bottom right corner is vegetable frittata. This was OK....to healthy for what else I was having that day though. :rotfl:
The bottom left corner is Pooh's Breakfast Lasagna. Avoid it like the plague. It was disgusting!

But everything else is yummy! I highly recommend it! And how can you not love ourfriends from the 100 Acre Wood? :goodvibes

I'm so glad to hear the nice reviews about the CP breakfast! It's our very first ADR when we go in April...

We've been to the dinner (in 12/08) and enjoyed it...the character interaction was great...our dd (4 at the time) really hit it off with Piglet - that resulted in one of the all-time sweetest of our Disney pics and dd got to hold Piglets hand and lead the parade. I would dearly love to tell that "friend of Piglet" thank you for the lovely memories!

We have done (and are doing this year) the same thing! Works out perfectly! :)

If you are a fan of Pooh and Friends, this is the place to be. We go for breakfast every trip. Make an early ressie, this way you get into the park before the crowds. Sometime you have to wait for the characters to get to you; but it's worth it and you have more time to eat the delicious food.

Have fun. :)

By far my favorite restaurant on Disney property. We never miss this restaurant :) Love the Puffed French Toast (to die for actually)! Characters are wonderful and I have no complaints. I don't think there is a bad or ugly, maybe sometimes if you have a later ADR because of the wait, but we try to get one of the first ones usually.

CP is our favorite breakfast - we enjoy the bright/open atmosphere of CP, good buffet featuring puffed french toast :thumbsup2, and good character interaction with Pooh & friends.

I'm pretty certain that we'll continue to go here when my kids are not into Pooh and friends. The food is awesome! I also have dreams about Pooh's puffed french toast. You can't go wrong going here.

The food was great. My kids actually ATE! They loved to see the characters. They were 2 and 6 when we ate there.

My only complaint is the transportation to get to the Magic Kingdom. We stayed at a Disney Resort and had our own vehicle. But you have to take the boat or the monorail to get there once you park your vehicle! We were actually 20 minutes late for our reservation. They let us eat though. So plan for time travel unless you are already in the park. Our reservation was early so we hadn't been in the park.

I saw Michael Jackson walk into the Crystal Palace in 2000 or 2001.

We have been for lunch each of the last two times we went. This time we are trying the 8am breakfast seating. Of course we are also doing a lunch one day - we love the food on the lunch buffet. And my daughter loves Pooh, Piglet, and Tigger.

The men in our family are late risers. So I'm hoping to book one of the later breakfast ADRs. Which breakfast times are usually the most crowded? Hoping it's not the later times ...:goodvibes

Crystal Palace is our favorite breakfast buffet. Even when we do a quick trip and don't have a lot of sit down reservations that is our must do! I'm not sure about the later crowds - we usually try for an early seating.

I think it's always been full when we were there. But I do feel like the late breakfast feels less crowded in terms of waiting for food at the buffet. Everyone starts the 1st seating around the same time, but by the last seating, many people are done eating and are waiting for the last character or their check...

This way we have brunch and aren't hungry until dinnertime!:goodvibes
