Hi, we have a ressie for Crystal Palace in Sept just wanting to know if anyone can give me a idea of what kind of food is there and how it rates!
First time going and having character meals etc, just wanting to make sure we pick some great places to eat!
thanks for your help!
(DD will turn 8 while there, and have also Supercalifragalistic breaky booked, Chef Mickey's, Hoop de doo Revue, and Whispering Canyon!)

I'm visiting Crystal palace for the first time in September, but the reviews I read on here have been good. I don't know everything that's on the buffet but I'm sure I've seen pics of all the typical breakfast foods, eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit and some specialities. They have a breakfast lasagne that I can't wait to try, made with waffles, poundcake, fruit and I think custard, it looks yummy.

Three words: Puffed French Toast! It's to die for! Aside from that, you're right, it's typical breakfast food but with a little puffed french toast on your plate, it makes everything else seem better too!

It's my favorite character breakfast. The building is bright and pretty inside and they do a little character parade that all the kids are invited to join in on. You'll love it!

If you go to www.allearsnet.com then click on Dining, then look on the left for menus' you will find lists of the food served at all the restaurants. I love looking there before our trips to see if the food selection works with our family of 5.

buffet overall. As mentioned earlier the buffet includes breakfast lasagna and stuffed french toast. Both very good. It also has an omelet station which I like. There is also generally smoked salmon and bagels, sausage, biscuits, gravy, etc. The standard fare.

We just got back from the world last night. While there we ate at Crystal Palace once for breakfast and once for lunch. The food was wonderful! There was a HUGE selection of choices so even my picky eater was happy. I will warn you, though to be ready for not such great service. Both days we dined there we received HORRIBLE service. For breakfast the server didn't bring our daughters thier apple juice until 20 min and several reminders. After that we never say our server again until he brought the bill. Then he had the nerve to get all huffy when we didn't tip 18% and only did 10% which I thought he should have been happy with since he did absolutly nothing to get. Our lunch service was even worse. The server brought our drinks and then never came to check on us again. After about an hour, we had to get a manager to get our bill. Like I said, the food was wonderful, but the service sucked!

Glad you enjoyed your meals at Crystal Palace. Breakfast is a must-do for us once a visit. I am sorry you had poor service. We have always had great service there. Hopefully, it was just an "off" day...although the service should be good every day.

Crystal Palace is one of our favorite places for breakfast & is a "must do" for us. The food, service, and character interaction have all been very good for us whenever we have been.

We loved our CP breakfast in May of 2006. It was me dw, ds (12 at the time) & dd (9 at the time) The view was great, the inside of CP looked great, the Character interaction was at least average and the food was great!!

So what else can I say? Go, it was.........GREAT:thumbsup2

We ate at Crystal Palace last Friday morning (just got back from our vacation & started planning our next Disney trip)!

We had an 8:25am ADR and liked getting into the park before it opened, it was a great time to get pictures. As for food, I would recommend the french toast & made-to-order omelets. My husband didn't like that the syrup was cold here and we would have enjoyed strawberries, but we both decided that the omelets and early entry were worth a return visit. It's nice to finish eating and be right in the park and ready to go!

CP is always on our list of must-do restaurants. We love eating there. The food is really good, and there is a big selection to chose from. Of course, you have to get a Pooh waffle!

stupid question... but do they have eggbeaters or eggwhites at the omlet station?

Yes! Last week I asked for an egg white omlet and there was no problem at all! It was very yummy. Oh and FYI, I noticed breakfast at 1900 Park Fare does the same thing at their omlet station.

We ate there for breakfast a few weeks ago!!! YUMMY!!!! We enjoyed and the food was good and plentiful!!! We will go back again next time for sure!!

We love the food selection... it is large and filled with tons of traditional items and some special ones...we are partial to the Puffed French Toast...It is sooo yummy....the kids love the characters pictures pressed onto the waffles (they ate tons of those)....

We were not as impressed with the characters...Both times we were finished with our meals (did not rush) and we did not see all the characters...the place is very big and it takes a long time for the characters to come around...once they are there, they stay long enogh to take a picture and that is about it...not much interaction either time we went...the parade with the characters is cute....

The prices are about the same as the other character breakfast meals on property...$18.99 for adults and $10.99 for kids...

It is great to get a ADR before the park opens in order to get in before the crowds and to take a picture on Main Street when no one else is there....
We like the atmosohere, love the food, and feel the the character interaction could be better...We are going back in November and hope we have a better experience with the characters.

thanks to everyone who has responded with great reviews and raves about the food...I am soo looking forward to our disney holiday it's only 104 days away! lol
Can't wait to taste the yummy breakfast lasagna it sounds soooo good, as do the waffles OK everything sounds good, and this will be our first character meal while there! Hoping it will be a great way to start our vacation!
Just one question, are we able to get into the MK before our ressie (at 9:05) so we can walk around and explore without the busy buzzing of people in the park?

I love the character breakfast at Crystal Palace, and it's a must do for me on every trip. Of the food there I really love the breakfast pizza, the puffed french toast, and the breakfast lasagna.

They suggest you get there about 15 minutes before...they will let you into the park before it opens as long as you have your reservation #....Go over to the dining entrance...There is usaully a small sign or someone standing with a clipboard checking reservations...They should let you in before it the crowds....However there won't be much "exploring"...Sections of the park and the stores are closed until the park opens...You cannot walk freely around the park...But it is nice to walk down Main Street when there are only a few other groups there.
