Crystal Palace breakfast

I wanted to make a ressie at CP for breakfast but then go up to the check in and cancel. Yes, very stupid and wrong so let the flames begin. I just wanted to be able to get a picture of my family by the castle and not have a ton of people around.

Can this be done? I am prepared to be burned at the stake.

Shhh- when we were at AK last year we were hereded at the front of the park before opening. A CM was letting the breakfast goers leave thru an opening in the rope. I told DH we have to hurry or we'll miss our breakfast ressie. We then followed the path to the Donald's breakfast area. We got there and guests were allowed to leave and we made it to EE in time for a short wait time.Atthe MK you do usually ahve to give your ADR # so Im not sure if th sneaking by will work.

Why not just do the breakfast...its really great. That way you can have your perfect photo, breakfast ADR and eat it too!

I thought about doing that too...but then I thought my kids would say something. They always keep me in check even when I don't want to be!

That is a pretty crappy thing to do because a family that really wants to eat there is now SOL because of you but I guess it can be done. Why dont you want to eat there?? The food is great.

I'd agree with MickeyNicki...other people may want a ressie there, and can't get one, just because someone made one, only to hold on to it, so not to even go into the restaurant.
No flames, but it's just not fair for everyone else either.

I agree with those above. It appears you may be going during free dining (don't know when the exact free dining dates are) and I have heard that it is virtually impossible to get ADR's at some of the more popular restaurants on such short notice. While you are busy taking your pictures in front of the castle and cancelling your ADR at the last possible moment (seriously, the last possible moment!), there will be a family with very excited children, probably on their very first visit to WDW and the Magic Kingdom, who would love to eat breakfast with Pooh and his friends. Guess what? They can't eat with Pooh and friends because someone only took the last ADR so they could get pictures in front of the castle! So not right! Whether you are on free dining or not though, I think you are WRONG to cancel at the last minute -- a walk-up won't even be allowed to use it because they can't get into the park without an ADR. All venting aside, I think you should reconsider and eat at the Crystal Palace (AFTER taking your picture) and enjoy your day in the park . . . if you choose not to eat at Crystal Palace, I think you should cancel NOW, so that another family can pick up that ADR!! Maybe you could show up at rope drop and hope you get some alone time in front of the castle -- I'm pretty sure that's what the OTHER family will be hoping for . . .

Just a note -- I am having a very hard time getting an ADR for the Crystal Palace on a certain day in early December (week of December 8 - still four and a half months away) and am now wondering how many people actually keep their ADR's . . . no free dining, value season, what's really going on? I have called every day for the last three weeks hoping for a cancellation!

If they caught on to this trick, they could start requiring a 24 hr cancellation period and charging on the credit card in case of no shows or last second cancellations.I'm sure you're not the 1st person to do this and it may seem innocent enough but someone will be really dissapointed. Is your photo worth that much?

Why not go to MK on an early EMH day? We did early EHM on July 3rd and there were very few people around.

if this OP is actual for real..i say that is the lamest thing ever. Suck it up and just get there uber early on an EMH and take your picture..don't waste a reservation..its just ridiculous.

Yes, I'm sure it can be done, but as you said it's "very stupid and wrong" so I guess you answered your own question.

Maybe next year I can call and take all the ADR's for 8:05 am, just so my family can eat without having a ton of people around.

Flame suit still on and about med but let's go for well done at this BBQ. Keep up the opinions. We all have them and I just posted it to see what everyone thought. I don't have an ADR for the breakfast. I just wondered if this is done or not? I have been to EMH in the am and pm, we have been some of the last people to leave the park. We live our lives the best we can, hence I asked if this was done, I did not say I was going to do it? I just wanted to know. Yes, I want the picture!!! But I am not a flaming butt head.

To get the best photo you'd want the first seating-around 8:05. SO....what would you do after you got your photo? There are ropes to all the other lands. I would think some CM would notice you hanging around.

Truly, thank you for being so sweet, I really appreciate it. I didn't want to cause trouble but just wanted to know if anyone had ever done this. I think in my first post I said I didn't seem right.

I am going to the little ones magical hours and we are going to be in early with very few others and I plan to get my picture then and have a super time.

We love CP but go for the early dinner.
