Hi

We are hoping to do a character breakfast at Crystal Palace and have a couple of questions.

1. Ideally we woul like an early reservation - 8am ish - but don't know if we are allowed to do this as we will be staying off site.
2. If we can't get an early one what woud people advice with regard to another time to aim for.
3. I have been reading posts that CP seems to have gone down hill a bit lately. Has anyone been recently and can share their experiences.

Many thanks

Haven't been for breakfast, but we had lunch there about 3wk's ago and that was lovely my favourite :goodvibes

Last October we were staying off site. We had a reservation for breakfast at Crystal Palace at 8:05 am and had no problem getting in to Magic Kingdom at that time at all (in fact they didn't even check we had an ADR, just let us straight in). We were able to get some lovely pics of MK main street and the castle with no-one around.

The breakfast itself was lovely - the highlight being the puffed french toast, which is to die for. It's so nice, in fact, that we have another ADR for breakfast in August PURELY to get more of that yummy french toast (as well as the other yummy offerings) :thumbsup2

If you really can't get an early breakfast, I would go the other way and try to get 10:30ish - that way, you can get a few rides under your belt then stop for a late breakfast and then you probably won't need to eat again until that night (if at all ;) )

Hi

I would say an early start their is good, it gives you a chance to fill up and then your already in MK to make a start on the rides or head for any ques that you know are likely to get big fairly quickly.
We usually have a breakfast there on our trips at 8am.
It doesn't matter if your stay off site (we have some trips) just have your resevation number or even your surname is fine.
You just go to a special cue out side MK past normal ticketing and then they let you through.
It always feels good to be going in as the ques have started to build up for entry to the parks and you go right past them he he he.
Enjoy

Thanks for the replies so far - we will be trying for the early one I think (if only to get a good shot of the castle) so now just have to make sure we book in plenty of time.

someone advised me to get an 8:10 ADR then you'll have 10 mins or so to take some photo's, rather than rushing straight to your breakfast. That's what we're doing this year:)

The earliest opening is 8.05 a.m. we have this booked next month:thumbsup2

You dont have to be staying on site to make reservations for dining.

The benefit of early dining here is that you can take photos outside the castle with literally no one else in the photos:)

Did those of you that booked for the early dining find that you had to phone as soon as the lines were open??
I have an idea when we need to be ringing up but not sure how much 'on the ball' I need to be.

We booked in the May for the October and had no problem at all getting the earliest seating. It all depends when you are going - the busy times of year are obviously March/April (Spring Break), Christmas time and 3rd week of November. At most other times you should be able to get an early seating even if you don't manage to phone exactly at the 180 day mark.

ETA: We also have an 8:05 am breakfast booked for August, which wasn't booked until May of this year - again, no problem getting the time we wanted.

We loved Crystal palace
We just turned up and had to wait about 15 mins, though for our next visit we've pre booked it
You'll love it there, good food and great character interaction

:thumbsup2
