I am planning on visiting Disney world in april two days after Easter for give a day get a day. My family and I are most likely staying outside of the complex but are trying to decide to do lunch or dinner. I've ate both and love both but I wanted to hear everyones opions.

I personally like breakfast better. I love having a full filling breakfast and the character interaction is great in the morning. Also I am a sucker for that Puffed French Toast on the kids buffet :) Then again I am more a breakfast person anyways so thats why breakfast is my choice. And it's cheaper haha

We tossed around going to breakfast instead of dinner this time. But, we enjoyed the dinner at Crystal Palace so much last time that we decided on dinner again. I know they have the puffed french toast, but there is a recipe for it online and it is very easy to make. I have made it several times and it is fantastic! Since that would be the second reason for going there for breakfast (first reason is the characters for our boys), we decided that I will make puffed french toast occasionally, and we will go back to Crystal Palace for dinner on our next trip! I fell in love with their salmon last time we were there, the salads were fantastic and the desserts are so good! And the character interactions was wonderful...my kids had a blast and so did we! It also has a very nice atmosphere.

I, personally, would take a dinner. You can eat more and you get more hot food. I would suggest eating at chef mickeys at the contemporary. If you HAVE to eat in the park then eat breakfast at the crystal palace.

I 100% prefer breakfast. The food is much better and you can start your day in the MK off right. :)

^^^ We had dinner at Crystal Palace during our last trip. We plan on doing lunch at Crystal Palace next time. Having said that, if you choose to do breakfast and get an early ADR (before park opening), you'll have the added bonus of walking through an empty Main Street. I considered doing breakfast for that very reason, but then we would have missed on doing Chef Mickey's breakfast. For the life of me I don't understand why Chef Mickey's is not open for lunch. They only serve breakfast and dinner there. So once again if you are only considering breakfast or dinner at Crystal Palace, go for breakfast so you can have access to the park when it's still relatively empty. Great opportunity for some awesome pictures! :thumbsup2

We love Crystal Palace breakfast - it's our favorite and a "must do" for us. Nice buffet variety featuring puffed french toast :worship: + it's a great way to start off a day at MK - get an 8:05 adr on a non-emh day and you're ready by rope drop. We tried Crystal Palace dinner last year and it was just ok, average-at best.

We've only done the breakfast at CP and we absolutely love it. We have given up "lunch/dinner" buffets at Disney after two horrible experiences at Hollywood & Vine and the bad food at Chef Mickey's for dinner back in 2004 (we will do Biergarten and Cape May Cafe, however, for dinner). I would pick breakfast and try for an 8:00 ADR and you can have Main Street almost to yourself as you walk to the restaurant.

Thanks for your help everyone!!! We just made a res. for breakfast first thing in the morning!! Thanks for reminding me about puffed french toast!!! All you can eat
