Crystal Palace Breakfast Question

We have an 8:05 a.m. ADR for the Crystal Palace Character Breakfast on a day where the MK is set to open at 9:00 a.m. I was told that my confirmation number and park-pass will get me in early. My question is this: How early can I arrive?

The prospect of taking some photos on a virtually empty mainstreet is soooo appealing.

We have done 8:05 breakfast at both CRT and Crystal Palace and in both instances they didn't let us enter the park until 8. We've got some great pictures in front of the Castle with nobody behind us.

We did this in May with an 8:05 reservation. We arrived about 7:20 am, went through security, and were first in line, along with some other early birds. They did not let us into the park until 8:00 am, and there were quite a few people in line by then. If I were to do it again, I would try to arrive around 7:30 - 7:45, just not to be too far back in line.

We found 8:00 am opening to be plenty of time to get down Main Street, take some pictures, and get to the Crystal Palace. We also picked up our rental stroller along the way. I was stressed about it, since it was our first visit, and only 5 minutes from the gate to CP!! But I realized when we got to CP there was no reason to be stressed.

One thing - it did take us a long time once we got to CP because Tigger took so long to get arournd to our table. He didn't come until 9:20! So we lost some of the "beat the crowd up Main Street" advantage there.

we did this on july 5 , we had 810 res at cp. got there via "early character breakfast bus" that picked us up at the swan.
we got there at 745 ( a NON emh morning) and there were very few people in front of us.

I got almost a whole roll of pix of our family with absolutely no one else in the frame in front of the castle!that is the only way to do MK as far as I am concerned, I'll never do it any other way again!

we had no problems with characters, and were out of cp at 9 am. did thunder twice, splash twice, space, haunted mansion, mickey philharmagic, small world, and people mover all by 1130! it was great!! plus we never used a fastpass that am. we then took a snack break at tom sawyer island( big mistake, too hot) did pirates, splash again using fp, treehouse, and left for high tea and break at GF. then off to epcot. came back over to Mk around 8 till close at midnight ( we picked up a thunder fp for night before we left). It was a perfect day!
