We have 8:10 AM Crystal Palace reservations for our trip in January. How early will they let us into Magic Kingdom? It would be nice to have a little extra time to take some pictures without many people around!

Also, if we should happen to finish our breakfast prior to the 9 AM opening time, are we allowed to go back out and wander around the park? Do they rope off certain areas prior to 9 AM?

Thanks!

hi. i ate at AK and we had to wait outside the park for the group with reservations for breakfast and they didnt let us in with extra time to wander around. afterwards they had a roped off area right near the restaurant. i bet MK is similar. MK is nice though b/c i ate tehre before park opening at CP but went to City Hall and got my bday gift card and then took pics on main street and mosied my way to CP. The park opened before we finished, as is likely the case with you. You'll probably wait a couple of min to be seated, then to eat and see the characters, and then pay, you wont be out by 9am. enjoy the breakfast and the characters.

I forget the exact time that you are allowed in, but there will be an entrance way for ADR guests on the right (facing the MK) near the ticket windows. The best bet is take the pics you want before checking in. Once you check in at CP you are asked to have your group remain together, because if you're not all together when they call your name...you don't get to go to your table.

If you finish before opening you will be able to wander around Main Street, but the entrances to the various lands will be roped off.

This is one of our favorite breakfasts and we always try to get in before the park opens. We've been able to get great photos this way!

Enjoy your breakfast!

We ate at the Crystal Palace last Monday. They let all of the breakfast reservation people in MK around 7:50. They didn't check our names or anything. We took pictures on the way down Main St. (photopass photogs were out). We had 8:20 reservations but arrived early and were seated by 8:10 and easily finished breakfast, pictures and autographs with the characters, the little character parade and restroom stops by about 9:05. From breakfast, we walked on to Haunted Mansion, BTMRR, Splash Mountain and PoC before 10:00.

Thank you, glad to know there is photopass photographers out that early. Can't wait:banana:

We've had breakfast at CRT and CP prior to rope drop. There's a CM off to side with a clipboard who's always checked our names with a list and let us through. Photopass took pics of us in front of the castle and it was SO awesome since there was nobody around!

Also, when the gates first open, the restaurant hosts don't worry too much about whether your seating is at 8:05, 8:10, 8:15, or 8:20 - they want to get as many folks seated as quickly as possible, and they take folks as they come to the front of the line.

So if you want to take a few castle photos or something and don't reach the check in desk until a couple minutes after your reservation time, don't sweat it.

Anything other than first thing in the morning, this isn't true. But things are hectic right at opening.

My questions
1) How do they know you have a reservation? Do they have computer screen at gate or a piece of paper with names on? Do they inform the restaurant guest has arrived by calling them? How does CP know you arrived? Do you still need to wait outside of CP, and register with them? It's a long wait.

2) Do you need print out a reservation form?

3) If my reservation is 9:05am, when can I get in?

Thanks!

When we went last November, We were the first family to arrive for the day (so fun) We arrived around 7:20. All the families that had ADRs lined up at the tickets stalls to the right. There were signs and CM's to tell us where to line up. We waited a while and at some point they scanned our tickets and walked us up to the entrance under train station and we waited there for a few more minutes. AT around 7:50 they let all the families in to walk down maintreet to their reservations. Our ADR was at 8:05. I do not remember anyone verifying that we had an ADR. We walked down mainstreet to crystal palace. There were ropes blocking off all of entrances to the Lands. There is a place on the porch of crystal palace where you will check in. We only waited 5 to 10 minutes to be seated. Which wasn't bad considering it was the saturday before Thanksgiving and the restaurant was immediately full.

With a 9:05 ressie, i am not sure at what time they will let you in. Possibly pretty early if they do not check your reservation time at the gate. I would think arriving early would be best if the park opens at 9. The ADR entrance ticket entrances were to the far right.

If they don't check your reservation, then ppl without reservation can go in too? I will print my reservation.

We had an 8:20 ADR last year and an 8:05 ADR this year. Although we were prepared with our confirmation number, we were not asked for anything when we entered the park either year. Both times we checked in right away and were seated within a few minutes.
