I have an ADR for CP at 10:20am. I did it at this time because I heard that the restaurant was less hectic for a later breakfast. I heard that busy times at CP can be a nightmare.

Now I am wondering if I should have pushed it back and just done lunch there instead. My brother, SIL and her mom are now coming and I hate to see them pay so much OOP when for $2 more each, they could get lunch which could be a better value for them. (When they said they wanted to join us for a few days I swore I would not change my plans for them....but here I am! )

Which do you prefer for food and atmosphere?? Breakfast or Lunch?

Any character meal at it's busiest time will feel crazy and yes, I do think that first and late sittings are calmer.

As far as breakfast or lunch goes, we love both and make a point of doing at least one of each on each trip. If I were trying to decide, with CP the beauty is that you can look at what time of the day suits your itinerary best and go with that one. An hour later and you are into the lunch menu. I really enjoy both. :goodvibes

Personally, for us, breakfast at the Crystal Palace is a must do every trip. After two disastrous visits to Hollywood & Vine and a poor visit to Chef Mickey's for dinner, we've given up on lunch or dinner buffets (with the exception of Biergarten and Cape May Cafe). I would stick with breakfast. The CP breakfast has lots of wonderful items, including made to order omelets. I'd stick with breakfast.

I agree with those that said the breakfast for Crystal Palace. I felt they had a great selection for breakfast

Check out the menus at allears. If you are on a budget, you might want to eat in the room for breakfast and eat out for lunch. I like the variety they offer there. Just my opinion...

We love the last breakfast seating at CP -- great character interaction, good food, and yes it is less hectic at that time. We tour the park at rope drop, and then have "brunch" at CP -- it's worked out great for us. I would keep it the way it is -- there are so many breakfast items there to choose from, including custom-made omelets, waffles, and pancakes. :goodvibes

I would probably choose lunch, primarily because I don't like the idea of losing valuable morning touring time. There is something appealing about hitting the major attractions early in the day, then settle into a nice character meal at the Crystal Palace just when the park begins to become crowded and uncomfortable. I think the food is comparable at both meals.

The only situation I would recommend breakfast is if you make a reservation before rope drop, so you can have the experience of walking down an empty Main Street.
