Crystal Palace...breakfast, lunch or dinner?

I've eaten all three meals there and enjoyed each. However, we usually enjoy breakfast more. We like to get an early breakfast ADR and get into the park to get some great pictures of Main Street and the castle with no one in them. We also enjoy the food more. Dinner is also very good though, there is just better food to be found at other restaurants. Breakfast is pretty much the same at any WDW buffet, except Crystal Palace does have Pooh waffles and breakfast lasagna that the other restaurants don't have. Lunch was just OK. Characters are the same for all three meals.

to be dinner for me. CP had a decent prime rib even if the temp varied quite a bit. Now it's breakfast. Chef Mickey's has been a tradition for us for a number of years but the CP breakfast is much better.

Too funny...one picked breakfast, the other picked dinner and I pick lunch!

Actually, I like CP anytime. We prefer it for lunch because we like to take a "mini-break" in the afternoons without going back to the hotel. We get to sit and relax for a while, the food's always been really good and the kids are entertained. We've also booked the latest lunch a couple times which is nice.

It keeps us filled through the dinner hour so we can keep touring when everyone else is going to eat. It is less money than dinner and it is much less crowded than the regular lunch or dinner times which means better character interaction. Just works for us I guess.

Don't think you can go wrong with whatever you decide.

Have a great time!

We like the breakfast food best. We either go for the first available ADR, before park opening, or the last available ADR (10:25 or 10:30) and treat it as brunch (especially if we do the morning EMH).

We have had dinner there in the past and really enjoyed it, they have really good variety in their buffet. For our upcoming March trip we are going there for Breakfast (first time) and am very excited about it. I have seen pictures and heard very good reviews on their breakfast items.....plus I get to see my guy Pooh :goodvibes Also, our ADR is before the park is opened, so we are also excited that we get to see MK without the hordes of people trying to get to different rides.

My favorite use to be lunch, but then we tried an early ADR for breakfast before the park opened and LOVED it. It was nice to walk around the park without everyone around and sit and enjoy a nice leisurely breakfast with my favorite characters. I don't think you'll be disappointed in any meal you choose though, I love CP!

We've eaten all three meals at CP several times. This is my kids favorite restaurant.

My favorite meal is a late lunch or early dinner. We love the ancho chile rubbed salmon, spoon bread and garlic mashed potatoes. The kids love the peel and eat shrimp at dinner.

We used to like breakfast but found for us the late lunch/early dinner was best for a break to allow us all to rest and regroup before taking on MK at night.

Hope this helps some.

My husband won't go to Disney unless I agree to book a breakfast at CP. :rotfl:
I definitely like being able to take pictures in front of the castle before the crowds pour in. The downside is we always miss the train coming in and the rope drop. That is a pretty magical moment. I am going to see if we can also do a late lunch.

We prefer breakfast. The buffet here is really good IMO. They have this puffed french toast thingy that is scrumptious. Also, my DH claims this place has the best corned beef hash. We like the variety here and it's a great way to start your day in Magic Kingdom. :thumbsup2

We've only done breakfast and we love it (you have to try the puffed french toast). We gave up lunch/dinner buffets (with the exception of Biergarten and Cape May Cafe) after two horrible experiences at H&V and less than stellar food at Chef Mickey's at dinner. I don't think you can go wrong with breakfast.

I've enjoyed all of our meals there but you just can't beat breakfast. Get into the park early, get a chance to see main street and the castle without the thousands of people around you. Plus, I just love breakfast food.:thumbsup2

We went for breakfast last time, before park opening, and all loved it. My picky dh really did. It was one he insisted we have to repeat this next trip. I really wanted to try lunch or dinner instead, but he said we should try a breakfast one day and a dinner another. So we are! lol. In a few months I'll be able to say which I prefer :)

We've been to both breakfast and dinner, and I think I preferred the breakfast food to the dinner. Both were nice, but I guess I just like breakfast better for buffets. I agree with a pp that it was great having a reservation before park opening -- a great way to start a Magic Kingdom day!!

Definitely diner.... We always end our family trip with diner at the Crystal palace, our whole family loves the food there, the buffet is delicious. We will be there again Feb 26th.

Breakfast...but go to Liberty Tree when Crystal is closed...they have THE BEST Peach French Toast for breakfast! Seriously...you must try it.
