Crystal Palace before opening for a first timer?

So I'm dragging DBF to Disney for his first trip. He wants the "full Disney experience". He loves a big breakfast- on our last morning I was planning on doing Chef Mickeys.

Should I try to get ADR's for Crystal Palace before MK opens as well? or should we just be there at opening? He's never been so I don't know which is a better way to experience it for the first time. He's an amatuer photographer and I know empty park pictures are always great... but there is also something about getting there at park opening and feeling that excitement.

Suggestions?? Or should we do CP on our last day instead of Chef Mickeys?(for the extra $5 for the park day it doesn't matter and we can get "one last ride in")

I think Chef Mickeys is more fun. my opinion. the characters act more like you imagne.

the characters at CP can be wonderful or awfully. now Tigger is pretty good - but several times the Winnie Pooh just wasn't Pooh..... Ergo is GREAT!!! (okay I might have misspelled - the sad doney)

When I went we ate at CP and the food was wonderful. We went one day for breakfast and then a few days later for an early dinner. I have never been to CM so I really can't comment on that. Try CP! You'll love it!

CP has my vote. The first seating is great because there is very little wait. The food is outstanding. Make sure you try the omelets.
