I haven't eaten at the CP in a while and was wondering how it is. Has anyone been there recently? How is the food? I just remember it being ok. Thanks.

We love the CP. It is just my husband and I, but I am a huge Pooh fan. My husband likes the prime rib. I am not going to say it is the best food ever, but we like it.

We will be there before MNSSHP on the 6th

Blech! $20 plus bucks a person for golden corral--unless you're dying to see characters, I would skip it.

I have to disagree with you when you say golden corral .. its better but not by much... When I was there they had a good selection of food including broiled salmon and a few other things... I also agree that you can skip this place unless your 4 year old wants to see Winnie the Pooh and friends.. I just wish they had a few of the other characteres tehre like owl and kanga and roo and maybe even Christopher Robin... I had a great time there and I would recommend the lunch over the breakfast....

We will be eating at CP before MNSSHP on the 6th as well. It will be our first time eating there. I have generally heard good things about it.

Our one and only character meal on our next trip is Crystal Palace for breakfast. Is it horrible? Should we skip it?

We didn't enjoy the preplated character breakfast at Tony's last trip (CP was down for refurb), but I figure a buffet will be slightly better. We are not completely enthused on the characters, they're nice and all, but figure it would be a nice meal in MK for breakfast. Any thoughts?

I can't say how CP is, because we haven't been there yet. We have, however, been to Chef Mickeys for breakfast and liked it a lot. They were very organized, and the food was good. I imagine CP would be similar, just different characters.

We had dinner at CP before MVMCP last year. It was so good that we will be having dinner there our first night in November. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I have to say that we much prefer lunch or dinner at CP to breakfast, though.

Sorry if it was harsh---but the only time I think I really enjoyed the CP was the morning after my wedding and we were waiting on the photographer and I was so hungover anything would have been good. Luckily, my 4 year old gets her weekly fill of disney, so I don't have to do the character thing.

We had dinner at CP in January and we enjoyed it. We thought it was pretty good quality, nice variety, good service and character interaction.

We are going before MNSSHP on Oct. 16. Can't wait! :flower:

Jezabella-
I don't think you are being harsh. I like people to tell me the truth and not "disney sugar coat" it. It seems like a lot of the character dinners are not that great. The only one I really like is liberty tree and some people think that is golden corral food but I liked it. "Disney food" has never really stood out as being fantastic. I remember when I was a kid and the food was just ho hum. You can find good food on disney property.....it just isn't consistent so disney has us hopping all over the place in search of decent food. Thanks for the replies.

Love this place!!! This is a must dine for me every trip. The food and the service are great. We went in November of 2004 and were very pleased.

We ate there last year before the Halloween Party, the food was ok - the service was horrible - we much rather go to CP for the breakfast instead.

We went at 4:05 on Oct. 31st right before MNSSHP and we LOVED it! There were 16 of us young and old and we all enjoyed it. The food was very good (as we think it always is), no comparison if you ask me to golden corral and IMO much better than dinner at CM. We'll be going again this November. :flower:
