Crystal Palace At 10:30

Hi everyone! When we go on our June vacation, we have a reservation at Crystal Palace at 10:30 (It was the only time we could get). It says it is a breakfast reservation and my grandsons eat breakfast better than lunch. The only other time we ate at CP was with an adr scheduled for 1:30 and we didn't get seated until 2::40.

Do you think we will have trouble gettin in on time for this reservation? We are planning on checking in about 20 min. early.

You should be okay. Just in case you get seated late and lunch foods are out,make sure your check has the breakfast price. If it has lunch price,insist(politely,of course) that you be allowed to pay breakfast price,as you got there on time and it isn't your fault the restaurant got behind. One time about 10 or so years ago,my party and I had reservations at Marrakesh for the last lunch seating. We arrived about 5 minutes early and they tried to give us dinner menus. I insisted on getting the lunch menus because our ressie was for lunch. When my uncle,who was paying,asked us what was the difference,I showed him both menus and he saw the difference in prices with almost exactly the same entrees.

We always travel in June, and have been fortunate to not have ever waited (at any Disney restaurant) as long as you did at CP. The last couple of times at CP we had about a 20 minute wait tops, maybe a little less. Which, when you think of it, is actually almost on time since we arrive approx. 20 minutes early like they ask people to do.

We have a 10:20 ressie at CP in June. I like this time because it's like a brunch for us. We always eat something in our room for breakfast before we do rope drop and this ends up being our big meal of the day.

We had a similar resrvation a couple of years ago at Hollywood & Vine. While we were there they switched out the breakfast food with lunch food. The lunch food looked really good, but after having some of the breakfast fare... no one was interested in eating the heavy hot dishes. I wouldn't schedule a buffet reservation for that time fram again.

We had the same time last year, and it was great!!!! The characters were cutting up, didn't feel rushed, and the breakfast food was out. I think they actually clear the restaurant before they put out the lunch stuff? Because the restaurant was clearing out, people were outside waiting, and they were not letting anyone in? We have the same time again in June since we enjoyed it so much!

I have found the key to being seated on time or close enough to it, is to check in early. The longest we waited at CP to be seated was 15 minutes and we only checked in at the podium about 10 minutes before because there was a looooong line of people checking in ahead of us. When you make your ADRs if you do them online it actually tells you to aim to be there 20 minutes early.

To put your mind at rest, CP serves breakfast until 11.30 am so you are not "on the cusp" of two different meals. Enjoy it. I have booked a bfast and a lunch for our trip - we love it!!!

Do you know when the lunch time ends and dinner begins (and thus prices)? We have a 4:00 ressie in June. I'm not sure it that's lunch or dinner.

It's dinner pricing. I think dinner pricing begins at 3:15.

We have done CP breakfast at 10:30 twice. Both times they switched half the buffet to lunch items midway through our meal. The other half of the buffet line remained breakfast items and they remained fresh and plentiful till the end of our meal. I was afraid the breakfast items would be left picked over and scarce by the end of breakfast but that has not happened to us. We were able to get food from the luch half if we wanted by the end of the meal too.

I will give you one warning with the 10:30 res. I was there Monday, and a friend of mine the week before. They had the 10:30 time. They got to go up once to get food, then the characters came so they waited until that was over. Then she went to get up to get more food and they had already cleared out much of the breakfast and would not let her have any of the lunch dishes. I think I would have made a fuss after spending so much money.

As I said, we went on Monday for breakfast and I was a bit disappointed compared to out last year. They no longer make Mickey pancakes for you up front. There is just a pile of cold pancakes to take. You can't put chocolate chips or blueberries in them like before. The food tasted fine, but really, I can get an omelet and breakfast potatoes anywhere for much cheaper. The waffles were twice as small as last year, and there didn't seem to be as much to choose from. We have decided not to do the DP as it doesn't seem to be working for us anymore, and so it was just not worth it to us paying OOP to do it again.

We love having brunch and did that time frame in the past without any problems, so I scheduled it again last summer during FD. It was awful! After we were seated, they shut down 1/2 the line to change it to lunch so all the people in the restaurant were in one line. It took forever. I made a comment to the waitress and she told us to go ahead and take food off the lunch side, she would not charge us. She acted like she was doing us a favor. I wanted breakfast, and was so upset about it I don't want to ever go back. DH loves it, so we have it booked again. I'm hoping it was because of FD and this trip works better.
