Crystal Cove? (vs. Sandy Ridge)

Hi all,
This is my first post after reading for a week or so -- wow, what an awesome community!

We are planning to stay off-site in a 4BR villa. My mom and I have both spent several hours (days!) researching and have come up with a few that look promising in our price range and dates. My mom found one in a resort called Crystal Cove that she likes, but I have not been able to find any opinions on that particular area. Has anyone been?

My top choice so far is in Sandy Ridge, which is further than she wanted to drive, but the price is right. We will have 3 kids aged 5 & under in our party so we're planning to take afternoons off.

I am also open to any suggestions you'd like to throw out -- we're trying to stay under $1000 for a week including the pool heat/taxes!

I have never heard anything about Crystal Cove either. I just checked out www.tripadvisor.com to see if there was anything there about it. I did find one thing, but I am not sure if this is the same community that you are looking into or not.

I don't think that either one has a location advantage over the other. They are both further out than a lot of other communities, but being further out helps you stay in your price range. We always stay further out, and it only adds 10-12 minutes of drive time to the parks compared to Windsor Hills which is one of the closest communities. We recently stayed in Windwood Bay which isn't that far from Sandy Ridge. We loved the location. It took about 15-17 minutes to get to the parks. If you have any more questions don't be afraid to ask.

Crystal Cove is a new estate close to the 192. Houses are only about 2 years ago and well furnished. It is only 10 minutes to Disney and minutes to Walmart and Target. There are plenty of restaurants on the 192 which is only minutes away.
