:welcome:

Well, I'm officially back at my desk...at work:sad1: But maybe I can cling on to the magic a little bit longer through this TR!

Here goes nothin'!

If you followed my PTR, thanks for coming! If not, I went to the Pop Century from September 30-October 5.

ME: My name is Katie, I'm 22 years old and a part time student majoring in psychology at The University of Maryland, Baltimore County. I work for Pandora Jewelry, love my job! I have a one year old son who is just the most amazing little boy in the world and the light of my life.

JR: We can call him my DH but we're not married...yet maybe one day we can get married in Disney with the carriage and butler. How nice would that be?! sidetracked! Ok, JR is 23, works at the food and drug administration, loves to play poker, and had never been to disney before me. weirdo. lol jk.

Conner: my DS, he just turned 20 months yesterday and is by far the coolest kid ever.

My mom and brother (Shane, 13) also came on this trip. Mom funded most of it, :worship: maybe we can do it again soon...or better yet a cruise next! hint hint mom if you read this.

sidenote: JR, Conner, and I went down one day ahead of my mom and brother so we will start there...actually we will start the day before.

Wednesday, September 29:

I was swamped at work trying to get things done before I left, not to mention I had my Statistics class that night which I absolutely cannot stand. So needless to say, I wasn't feeling the excitement I should have been feeling. I was freaking out. BUT! Once I left work and finished class, I went home and made Conner watch the Disney Vacation planning DVD to get pumped. lol

CHEESE!
33562_636513075987_45609619_35785233_2379547_n.jpg

Look at those fireworks Conner! We will be there soon!!!!!

I alsoo bought him his first set of silly bands...they were supposed to keep him occupied at some point on our trip, but my little monster couldn't wait!

After dinner and the DVD, Conner had a bath and went to bed early since we would be getting up at 5 a.m.:scared1: I did my last minute packing, put everything in the car, and pretty much passed out. I was exhausted from being so stressed ALL day, so I fell asleep in no time. And before I know it....

Thursday, September 30th!!!

VACATION DAY!!!! It took me a minute to remember that I was waking up that early to go to Disney, but once I remembered, I sprang out of bed like there was a fire lol The weird thing was, JR was downstairs AWAKE and getting dressed. Shocker, I know! The only thing we really had to do was get dressed since we packed the suitcases in the car the night before so once I was ready, I got Conner out of bed and brought him into my room. Normally he springs up out of bed like its nothing, but this day, he climbed over to my pillows and laid back down lol
64433_636513056027_45609619_35785232_4525278_n.jpg

JR had pulled his suitcase out of the car to add MORE stuff last minute. surprise surprise lol.
I got Conner dressed, and he honestly looked SO angry that he was awake
33562_636513090957_45609619_35785236_6479204_n.jpg

But he totally made this face when I said we were going to Disney World TODAY!
33548_636513125887_45609619_35785237_2851_n.jpg

I got the rest of his snacks together and we were out the door....and guess what was waiting for us???

A MONSOON!!!!! Yes, a freaking monsoon. My neighborhood already floods, but today, the water was literally up to my ankles. I tippy toed through it as quickly as possible to the car. But by the time we got there, my shoes were soaked! :headache: Conner was good, I hid him in my clothes. My jeans were even ok because I rolled them up. So happy I did that!!! JR, on the other hand, came out a few minutes after us (with his suitcase, remember!) and was SOAKED on one side only lol

I wish I had pictures but I just didn't even think to take any.

We trucked it through the monsoon, fog, and darkness to the fast park parking lot (which I might add is a convenient 5 minute ride from my house). We parked the car, and a bus was there to pick us up before I knew it. So we all had to rush rush rush to get everything out of the car into the bus, and we were on our way to the airport (another convenient 5 minute ride!). And then I realized it......I FORGOT THE CARSEAT Not only that but I forgot to leave a key for someone to come feed my fish!!!! OMG, I'm Darla!!!! (fishh killer from Finding Nemo) I was freaking out but there was nothing I could do. If I went home, we would have missed the flight...I was just at a loss. I would wait until the end to tell you about the fish but I don't want to upset anyone- THEY ALL LIVED.

Oh, and Conner was kind of afraid of the bus we were on. It was still dark outside and dark in the bus so I can't blame him.
33548_636513135867_45609619_35785239_5657596_n.jpg

We got to the airport and security wasn't too bad...but they did yell at me for taking pictures of Conner while we were in line

We had enough time to grab some breakfast and then it was time to board! There were 30 open seats, so guess what?!? Yup, Conner got his own big boy seat!!!
46353_636513190757_45609619_35785242_7594264_n.jpg

In no time he was pulling goodies out of his bag lol He picked up his pretend camara and yelled "cheese!"
46353_636513195747_45609619_35785243_6996516_n.jpg

No sooner than 5 minutes after take off, he was OUT

After landing we headed straight to the Magical Express. We had to wait about 15 minutes before they were ready for us. Luckily, the bus wasn't that full and we got a row of 3 seats in the very back of the bus.
46353_636513210717_45609619_35785246_4393050_n.jpg

I had zero make up on in this picture and I joke that Conner didn't want to pose with me until I "put on my face" lol

Is this better Conner?

I told JR to open his eyes more next time

and this is what I got...smarta**

So Magical Express was supposed to pick up our luggage but who knew if they really would (if you followed my PTR you know the issues I had with them) Would we get our luggage? Would we get the room we requested? Would there be bed bugs?:scared1: Did we keep our reservations for Trex??

Find out tomorrow......!!!!!

Just read your pt,conner is such a cutiepie!
Can't wait to hear about the trip and the luggage...

Okay so I know I said I would do another update tomorrow but I have been so stressed all day that I need some good Disney memories to put a little more pep in my step.

I left off on the Magical Express....so I will begin again with the Pop Century.

Now I have to tell you, I've never stayed here before and I was excited to try a new resort. But I really am not a fan of this one. It could have been worse, but it's really just not my cup of tea. For the first time in my life I agree with my mom when she says that she doesn't like the big, bold, in your face stuff. I'm totally with her on this one. I really just wasn't feeling it. We always stay at a Disney resort, I've actually stayed at all of the following:
Polynesian
Port Orleans
Caribbean Beach
Coronado Springs
Fort Wilderness Cabins
Animal Kingdom Lodge
and maybe one or two more that I can't think of off the top of my head. Honestly out of all of them, this was my least favorite. Even with all of the Disney around you, it just didn't "feel" Disney to me. I was worried about feeling this way when we stayed at the cabins last December, but I actually really liked it there. Neither match up to Poly, but still, I just didn't like it. (sidenote to my mom...I'm not complaining because I was so happy to go...but I know you agree with me)

After we checked in, I had to let Conner stretch his legs a little
33572_636513385367_45609619_35785258_6701355_n.jpg

this one cracks me up...he looks like such a mini person
33572_636513390357_45609619_35785259_3214131_n.jpg

We headed over to the back of the resort where the lake/pond/whatever the technical term is for it...and JR and Conner found their first super miniature baby lizard

It was seriously getting hot out so I changed Conner into some shorts and a new t shirt and we went to play in the gift shop.

33572_636513410317_45609619_35785263_2972948_n.jpg

I really was beginning to hate my camara on this trip. I used to have a WAY nicer camara, but SOMEONE (cough JR cough) spilled RED BULL on it, and I ended up with this blah camara for the time being. Anyway, I think Conner looks really cute with this hat

33572_636513415307_45609619_35785264_4171561_n.jpg

Before I continue onto more pictures, I guess I should explain why we went a day ahead of my mom. JR has two boys from a previous marriage that live with their mother in Florida...right near Disney. So Thursday was our day to visit with them.

33572_636513420297_45609619_35785265_499214_n.jpg

It was seriously impossible to get ALL of these boys to look at me at the same time and smile. No wonder Kate Gosselin cries during photo shoots...its so frustrating! PS. I felt totally out numbered by boys...I vote that we add a girl to the mix (not now! maybe in a couple years...but seriously JR, please find that XX chromosome for the next one. PLEASE)

33572_636513425287_45609619_35785266_8377380_n.jpg

In my PTR I had mentioned really wanting to eat at T Rex, it looks sooooooo cool on the inside, so we headed to DTD for some fun, food, and shopping.

33572_636513430277_45609619_35785267_2440001_n.jpg

And instead of spilling the secret of where we ate, I have to go back to work because I am SWAMPED with all of the fun stuff I missed while on vacay. So...keep wondering, where did we eat? what fun store did we spend an hour in??:headache:hint hint:headache: How much money did we spend in just that ONE day?!? Stick around, you'll want to hear this one!

Can't wait to read more! It looks like you had a great time :)

I personally love Pop. But I understand how it isn't for everybody.

Okay so I left off right when we arrived at DTD. On the bus ride there, JR and I learned that his boys already had eaten lunch and weren't hungry again yet. So I really didn't want to eat at T Rex with a couple of not hungry kids...that equals no fun to me. So we kind of started walking around trying to figure out what we wanted to do...and suddenly the boys got hungry when they saw Rainforest Cafe.

Sooo needless to say, I missed out on my lunch at T Rex so everyone could go to Rainforest:sad1: I really wanted to eat at T Rex, especially since we had eaten at Rainforest back in December, but the kids were really excited so that was the deal breaker.

Since our last trip in December, Conner has gotten a lot more weary of things. My mom explains it this way:

[Back in December, Conner was only 10 months old, he was a stupid baby.

me: MOM!? ***?

After she finished laughing, she explains that babies don't know what it means to be afraid of things that early, but now he does.....

Ok mom, seriously, you could have said it that way the first time.]

Even though it sounds terrible, I totally get what shes saying. So I was a little afraid that Conner was going to crap his pants when it stormed in Rainforest, but he actually REALLY liked it! And he loved all of the fish! He kept pointing and yelling lol

more silly band fun!
64466_636513535067_45609619_35785270_6178964_n.jpg

I forgot to take food porn on this day, but I ordered the quesadilla appetizer which was really good, and the same size as a regular meal. JR got a burger with fries (we had to pay extra to upgrade to fries), and all of the boys split a dinosaur nugget kids meal. I'm telling you, that kids meal was bigger than mine and JR's put together. Three boys couldn't even finish it. JR's boys got special souvenir cups with an icee in them, I think they were $10 each, and our total bill was $80 with a tip.

After we finished lunch, we started shopping around DTD. JR had just missed one of the boys birthdays so he wanted to get them something special. And that is the store we spent an hour in....

THE LEGO STORE.

Words could not explain how much I now despise this store. Like I literally NEVER EVER want to go there again. Once you spend an hour in there with 4 boys, you will feel my pain. JR's boys couldn't figure out what they wanted...they kept picking out these HUGE boxes of legos that costed $200 or more, and I'm sorry but I just can't fathom paying that much money for legos, I mean come on.

To ice the cake, Conner was getting exhausted. We were WAY over his normal nap time, and he just couldn't hang anymore. So I took him into World of Disney to change his diaper, and coincidentally walked right into the section with the Bippidi Boppidi Boutique and all of the girly princess dresses. Now this, I can agree with spending $200 or more dollars on! lol I know thats so bad, but I understand the girly fun stuff...just not the legos! We really need to add a girl to our clan so I can get my fix and have my fun...maybe one day:cutie:

After WOD, I walked Conner around, desperately trying to get him to fall asleep. We ended up in T Rex so I could take some pictures...while the boys were STILL in the Lego store.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!

64466_636513545047_45609619_35785272_2143964_n.jpg

How amazing is this?

After T Rex, I went BACK to the lego store to collect the three boys, and I could have screamed at JR. They still hadn't made up their mind about what they were going to get. It was about another 20 minutes before they agreed on something, paid, and left.

THANK GOD!

I wanted to step into Goofys candy shop before we went back to the resort, but on our way, I had to take a picture of this door at WOD...I want to black and white it, and I think it will look awesome:

64466_636513560017_45609619_35785275_6421056_n.jpg

JR's boys decided they wanted their picture taken in front of it, so this is what I ended up with:

64466_636513569997_45609619_35785277_1850392_n.jpg

After our door photoshoot, we made our way into Goofys. Conner got a big lollipop (I purposely bought this ginormous $5 lolli because I knew he couldn't choke on it, all he would be able to do is lick it....we gosh darnit, that thing broke into 4 different pieces 2 minutes after we left and I had to trash it:mad:) JR's boys each picked out a bag of candy and I got a cooke. Our total? $20! on a cookie, lolli, and some candy...I love Disney but goodness is it expensive!

After Goofys, we hopped back on the bus for the resort. By the time we got back, I had gotten a text message that our room was ready and it was room #6142 in the 70's. We had a perfect view of the lake in the back of the resort. I was really happy with the location. When we got there, the boys played legos until it was time for them to leave. JR's oldest had back to school night this day, so they were picked up around 5pm.

(sidenote: conner uses a pacifier from time to time. I let him have it at this age because he is still getting teeth, and he uses it more as a teether than a sucker. He was getting his fang teeth on this trip, which I understand are some of the worst ones to get. And when his teefers are hurting, if I don't have a paci...I'm in trouble. Like a dummy, I only packed one paci. Well that paci got left behind somewhere on our journey from the plane to ME to POP to DTD...)

ONE OF THE BEST STORIES OF THIS TRIP:
After the boys were picked up it was nap time. Then I come to the realization that we no longer have a pacifier for Conner. So I call EVERYWHERE trying to figure out where I can buy one...and the hotel says the gift shop doesnt carry them, guest relations tells me to go to Walmart (with what car?!?), DTD doesnt have any disney ones....UGH. So JR decides to try our gift shop anyway. He comes back 15 minutes later with a pacifier...no receipt in hand, no bag, no packaging. And he tells me, "I had to steal this out of some kids mouth."

I was dumbfounded. Speechless. I just kind of looked at him, waiting for him to say "Just kidding babe!". Yeah...that didn't happen. SO I asked if he was serious, and he said there wasn't one in the gift shop, so when the parents of this kid looked away, he grabbed it out of the kids mouth.

Again, I'm dumbfounded, but laughing. Why am I laughing? This is terrible, awful..who does this? So I crack a joke, and say, "well, at least you delivered. Our kid needed something, and you got it." Then he finally tells me that he was joking, and he bought it at the gift store...and we are both in tears laughing. (This story will continue on later...just wait)

After Conner had his paci, we all passed out....before I could set an alarm. BIG MISTAKE. So I woke up at 8:45 pm, and JR and Conner were still asleep. I knew if I let them stay asleep, they would either a) wake up SUPER early in the morning or b) wake up at midnight and stay up for hours...and I wasn't having any of that nonsense. So yes, I woke them both up, got ready, and headed back to DTD at like 9:30 at night.

So we get back to DTD and start window shopping all the way down to pleasure Island. I look at Conner, and he no longer has the pacifier that we just "stole" earlier in the day. OMG. And by this point, it's 10:58 pm. So we turn around and retrace our steps...EVERYWHERE. We make it alll the way back to guest relations right near the WOD store. So I go in and ask if they have any emergency pacifiers I can buy (they have emergency diapers for FREE), and they say no. Then they proceed to tell me that my gift shop has them but that closed 2 minutes ago. OH MY GOD, WHAT WILL WE DO.
so I continue to retrace our steps back to the bus stop, and I give up. One of the street sweepers probably swept it up forever ago...its gone.

Then some force told me to turn my head to the left and look at this post at our bus stop, and a light from heaven shined down on my sons pacifier, sitting on this post.

To the parent who picked this up off the ground and put it here for me to find: Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I LOVE YOU! This kind of thing wouldn't happen anywhere other than Disney World.

When we got back to our room, Conner had some second wind in him, and ran to "hide" from me when I said it was bed time. This is how he hid:

64466_636513574987_45609619_35785278_2160394_n.jpg

Where could he be?!?!?! :lmao:

Ohhh and its that time, I must go back to work. I hope you all enjoyed the pacifier story. If you did, it gets even better lol Remember, my mom gets there tomorrow....and boy do things get juicy when we are together. Stay tuned!

I vote for an hour in Lego store

Before this trip, I loved that store! I've always thought it was super cool. But it has never been THIS crowded before. I mean, I couldn't move my stroller without hitting someone. So i'm sad to sad, my love for the lego store is no more.

Can't wait to read more! It looks like you had a great time :)

I personally love Pop. But I understand how it isn't for everybody.

We did, I can't wait to go back:cloud9: I know a lot of people really like POP, and while I probably would stay there again because of how affordable it is...if I had the choice, I would prefer somewhere else. But I'm glad you enjoy it!

Loved this so far, Yu really have me all excited for my Christmas trip :santa:, your son is so cute :thumbsup2 and you and JR make a nice looking couple :thumbsup2

Oh boy on the paci adventure.....that really is rough!

Hopefully it all worked out :)

This TR is too cute - loved the pacifier story and when Conner "hid" from you! Little boys are so cute at that age - my DD and grandson joined me on a trip in Dec 2008 and he was 14 mos old at the time. I had done the stroller swap and ended up with a double stroller. I had to pick it up at the Grand Floridian resort a couple of days before my daughter arrived and we were staying at BWV's. Well I took the monorail back to my resort passing through Epcot and decided to hit a few rides. Boy did I get stares and comments about pushing an empty double stroller and parking it at rides :lmao: My DD ended up not using it since she decided to bring her single stroller w/her on the plane so I swapped with another family. It's memories like these that make our trips more fun! (btw your little boy is SO adorable!)

Thank you! I'm glad you are enjoying it, and I'm totally jealous of your xmas trip! We went last year to the very merry xmas party and it was awesome.

It works out but the paci stories will continute throughout the trip, I was so unprepared

Thank you! I'm happy we are able to laugh about the paci story now because that night I was about to have a panic attack! Conner is a beast, and I was dying laughing when he "hid" from me. I don't want this age to go away:sad1: Strollers can be a pain, so I am happy that I brought my own since we are already familiar with it. You are very right though, its those memories that make the vacation. I love the BWV's! We stayed in one years ago when we did the disney cruise half land half sea. And we actually peeked into one for the vacation club on this past trip. Oh how I would love to join DVC! First step is buying a home, then we can invest in DVC;)

Remember how I mentioned that I really started to hate my camera on this trip? Well, I relied on my mom a lot to take pictures because I really wasn't happy with how mine were turning out. And right now, I am waiting for her to send me everything she took. But where I left off, she still hadn't gotten to POP, so until I get the pictures from her, I will catch you all up a little bit more.

OH! I forgot to tell you how much we spent in that ONE day.
-Breakfast at the airport
-Deoderant at POP (yes, my stinky butt forgot to pack deoderant-ewe I know)
-Lunch at Rainforest Cafe
-Presents at Lego land
-Candy and goodies at Goofys
-Gifts and fun stuff for us at WOD
Somehow we managed to spend over $300 in one day...I think I would have been better off buying us all a park ticket for the day!

Friday, October 1st
Remember (I think I'm going to ask you to remember a lot on this TR)...but remember how I specifically woke JR and Conner up last night so they wouldn't wake up super early in the morning or the middle of the night? Yeah my plan didn't work. Conner woke up at 7am. Really Conner? Really? 7am? I think he was just filled with so much excitement that he couldn't sleep in (even though I knew he was exhausted from the day before)

Well I let JR sleep a bit longer while Conner and I played quietly...because I am just THAT nice;) and then I woke JR up around 8:30. Gosh I really am nice. We all threw on some clothes and went to the food court to get breakfast. I got a key west omlet (special of the day), which was REALLY good. I'm honestly not even quite sure what was in it. JR got a ham and cheese omlet, and Conner ate off of both of our meals. I don't buy him kids meals because they are more for preschoolers and he just doesn't eat that much yet.

After breakfast we went back to our room to shower and get dressed. By the time we finished it was already 11ish...and my mom wasn't here yet, so we all laid down for a nap. We didn't sleep long, and I conveniently woke up right as my mom was getting to POP.

(sidenote: My mom was super angry that I forgot conners carseat because she was getting a rental car so we REALLY needed one. She said its hard to get one from the rental car places, and even when they are available, she thinks they are crappy. I've never rented one, so I wouldn't know:confused3 Well she already had plans to stop at Walmart for some odds and ends on her way to POP, so I told her to buy one and I would pay her back. I also told her TO CALL ME while she was at Walmart because I wanted her to grab some pacifiers and baby fruit jars-conner sucks them through a straw like smoothies. Well she swears up and down that I was supposed to text her what I needed, which I never did...because I TOLD HER TO CALL. Shes probably going to yell at me when she reads this lol)
(Another side note if you didn't follow my TR, I had to book the first night at POP separate from the other nights...keep this in mind)

So she gets to POP, and my brother knocks on my door asking to come help get stuff out of the car and apologize to my mom. FOR WHAT?!

Apparently she had also asked me to not check myself in for the remaining days of our stay because it was linked to her reservation and she didn't want to be locked into the room we were in...she wanted building 10, not 6. Well I don't remember this PROBABLY BECAUSE IT NEVER HAPPENED cough cough, so I got my new keys that morning and "checked in" again...which also locked her into the room that POP had her in. And end of the world as we know it. In her defense, she does swear up and down that she told me not to check in, and that we left off with me texting her a list for walmart so I wasn't listening...I added that just for you mom.

Well once we all got over that mess, I brought my mom, brother, and their stuff into my room since their room wasn't ready yet. The other thing I hated about POP was that you open the door and walk right into the bed. Like literally, right into the bed.

After we dropped all of her stuff off, it was time for....

CHEF MICKEYS!!!!!

Which I actually do have some pictures for, but I think my mom still has some good ones I will need to add later. Oh and now we were on the meal plan since our real reservations had begun, so this was our first sit down meal. They take your picture before you sit down with a chef mickey statue, which I thought from eating at the castle, was included in your meal so I didn't have my mom take one with our camera. They wanted to charge me $30 for that picture! I was so mad, I practically threw it back at the guy. not really, but I was mad.
We got a table near the window so we had a great view of the castle:cloud9: No sooner than 2 minutes after we sat down did characters start to come around. This was Conners second trip, and he did fine with characters on the first trip...but keep in mind he was a stupid baby then (I'm making fun of my mom when I say this). Well, he was terrified this time. He liked them from far away, but the closer they got, the more he freaked out. We told the characters when they came that he was a little afraid and they did great. They would back up really quick and try to play peek-a-boo with him. I didn't get any pictures of him with the characters on this day because he was still warming up to everything, but I got some good ones with me and JR!

Mickey felt so short to me, so I was trying to bend down more to his height

Fireworks started going off for one of the afternoon shows at the castle so I tried to snap a shot but I only got smoke...but its still the castle!

See how Conner was kind of leaning back? This is what I mean when I say he was weary on this trip

On our way out, I snapped this shot of the desert table. I thought those Mickey oreos were just too cute!

I was very excited to eat at Chef Mickeys. I know they are not always open for lunch so this was kind of special. But I have to say, if you pay to go here, you are paying for the character experience, not the food. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either. The only reason I would say we HAVE to go back is for the character dining, and even then, I found a better character experience that I will share later.

On our way out, I had to peek into The Wave. It's another restaraunt inside of the Contemporary that I had seen on other TR's, and its as cool as the pictures!

After lunch, JR asked if we could go to a Walmart so he could buy a fishing pole. This poor guy has been trying to go fishing SOMEWHERE in Disney since his first trip in '08, so my mom nicely (but annoyed since she had just been there) said yes to his request. We made it to Walmart and I went right to the baby section to hunt down some pacifiers and a clip so Conner stopped losing the darn things. They had ONE PINK clip left. ONE. PINK. I was like, are you kidding me? So we didn't get a clip, but I found a 2 pack of paci's that Conner likes so I grabbed them. On my way out, I also grabbed some face paint for MNSSHP later that night. They didn't have what JR wanted so some how we ended up going to Target right down the street. Target also did not have what he wanted, and it was seriously getting late, so we made our way back to the resort for nap time. It was already like 3 pm so we were running out of time...we were supposed to be going into MK around 5 or 5:30.

Did we make it on time? Did we miss the party? Did someone get desperately ill? drunk? distressed? oh yes...a mess went down this night.

But what happened?!?!!!!!

Awww, Connor is so cute!!!!! I'm happy the pacifier faerie was able to help out. :) Seems Disney has all kinds of little faeries about, performing miracles! One of them actually sewed the arm back on my sister's teddy when we were at Wilderness Lodge ages and ages ago.

The Lego store! Oh my goodness you are brave going in there with 3 boys. LOL!

That Dinosaur restauraunt looks pretty darn awesome too... it's located at Downtown Disney, right? I've seen it in a few TRs - hadn't heard of it before I joined here at the Dis Boards.

I can't wait to see what POP is like in person! I found the decorations at All Star Music a bit overwhelming, but still fun - the Caribbean and Wildreness Lodge are my favourites to stay at. But we'll have to see! :3

Your Chef Mickey pics are adorable. I love how they have food and things set out too! Disney design rocks. I brought home one of my kids meals boxes from Disneyland because I HAD to. It was that awesome. LOL. The one with all of the characters on different rides. I can't wait to see what the kids meal boxes are like at WDW now.

It looks like Connor did well with the characters - no tears! They are so much larger in person than on tv. LOL.

Take care and can't wait to read more!

Oh boy. Paci's are not working too well, are they? :rotfl:

Can't wait to read more! This is my entertainment while I am sick in bed.

Just waiting for the next installment popcorn::

Hey girl!! I am here!! I am loving your tr...its so amusing!! I love how you just write all your thoughts flat out!! It's fabulous!! Chef Mickey's really is so amazing!! I love it there!! I can't wait for more!!!!!!

aww the disney fairie idea is so cute!! I'll have to hold onto that one for our next trip;) I love love love Wilderness Lodge!! I love all of the deluxes for that matter...who couldn't?

T Rex is in DTD, its very new so that's probably why you haven't heard much about it. I have to say, I'm not entirely sure I've seen these meal boxes you speak of...I wonder if they are strictly a Disney Land thing?

Conner didn't have any tears but he definitely screamed a little bit lol He liked them from afar, but when they got close up, you would have thought he was seeing ghosts lol

Something is bound to go wrong on every trip, especially when you are toting around a one year old. But we got through it, thank goodness!

I hope you are feeling better!

heyy!!! I really liked how interactive the characters were at Chef Mickeys, I just wish Conner hadn't been afraid of them at that point. Our view of MK was amazing too:cloud9:

OMG I definitely just spent a good amount of time posting an update, and then when I went to post it, EVERYTHING WAS GONE!!!! ARGHHH

Well, lets try this again.

After I woke up from my little cat nap, I got myself and Conner all done up in our costumes. Then I woke JR up, and two minutes later...

RAWR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JR had a toothache which was apparently so bad, if he had a pair of plyers, he was going to pull it out. And was he ever getting nasty. He kept saying that he wasn't going to MNSSHP and just being scary in general. JR's really laid back, rarely yells, so when he started acting like this I was getting really upset. I would have been devastated if he had to miss MNSSHP. We got a hold of his dentist at home, with the hopes that he could call in some pain meds to last JR until we got home. Afterall, we were only on day 2 of 6...so if he was going to feel like this the whole time, it would have been pointless to stay.

Well, mr dentist says that since JR hadn't been seen since September 09 that he couldn't prescribe any meds because it had been one year. IT WAS OCTOBER 1ST. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The dentist wouldn't budge, so we moved onto the next idea. My mom offered to take JR to an emergency clinic nearby (and this is what really began to urk my nerves) He insisted NO, that he would be fine, and he didn't want to ruin the trip. Well guess what JR, the time we spent in the room debating what to do...we could have gone to the clinic and been back by this point. So JR tries calling his ex, who just had a baby, hoping to get something from her. Nothing. So then he grabs a drink by the pool bar, which started to ease the pain a bit. Then he decides that he IS going to MNSSHP and grabs two more drinks on the way to the bus. Needless to say, by the time the bus got there, JR's toothache was just about gone and he was feeling a little toasty.

Before I move on, my mom was able to snap some pictures of me, conner, and my brother while JR was getting drinks:

Even though Conner isn't smiling in this one, it has to be one of my favorite pictures ever

Then my mom told my brother and I to play our part....and I couldn't stop laughing

scsary4.jpg

Luckily, her camera was quick enough to snap some shots of me NOT laughing like a doofus

It took a good 20 minutes before a bus came to get us...and even then, we had to wait another 15 minutes for them to load the wheelchairs (a subject I won't touch because I don't want to offend anyone but ARGH)

Then it began: THE BUS RIDE FROM H. E. DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS

Conner turned into a monstrous beast on this bus ride. Like the child on this bus...not my Conner. I don't know what got into him, but he was screaming and thrashing around and climbing back and forth between our whole family. And he just got worse and worse. Keep in mind, I'm stilll freaking out inside that JR is really dying in pain and just pretending to be okay for me...Then this medusa, cruella, evil woman sitting in front of me started shaking her head, and LEGIT covered her ears when Conner was fussing. And then I lost it. I burst into tears. It was too much...JR's mouth and Conners attitude...I was past my breaking point.

JR took Conner from me and was able to calm him down a little, and we FINALLY pulled into the MK. We got off the bus and through security, and my mom gives me this look like "whats wrong", and I start crying all over again. I just explained that I had been SO excited to be there, and then all this mess happened, and I wasn't feeling the jittery butterflies that you normally feel walking into MK...and that was a MAJOR BUMMER. But JR assured me that he was feeling much better, Conner was back to normal, and I was able to collect myself and walk under the train station onto Main Street.

But I would like to express my true feelings to the woman sitting in front of me on the bus: You are RUDE. Do you honestly think that we weren't desperately trying to calm Conner down? Do you think we were enjoying the way he was acting? And really, did you come to Disney World thinking that you weren't going to have to be around ANY crying children? :lmao: oooooookay.

There was a time I visited Disney World childless, a good 30 times. And while yes, it is annoying when kids cry and throw temper tantrums, they are kids and you have to expect that when you travel to a theme park geared primarily towards young children. And I wouldn't have ever responded in such a manner...but then again I guess I was taught good manners. Unlike some others.

Anyway, I am done venting now.

I think we had enough time to ride Pirates of the Caribbean, which Conner did quite well on. He jumped slightly when we went down that one hill, but other than that, he was good. Since we got into MK so much later than we had originally anticipated, we had to find a seat for the parade right away. We sat in Frontierland somewhat near Country Bears. The parade was a good 25 minutes late, which surprised me a lot. But when that music came on and the lights went out, I was in a happy place. My heart jumped as the Headless Horseman rode by. And the following are a mix of my pictures as well as my moms, I hope you enjoy!
