Cry Baby Thread - What Makes You Cry at DL/DCA?

There is something about the music in the parks that gets me all teary eyed and gives me goosebumps. Like walking down mainstreet with the music over the loud speakers walking in and just so excited you want to run as fast as you can to everything.... Ugh now I'm all teary eyed missing it! Look what you did!! hehe ;)

And the parade song. I have it on a cd and whenever it comes on I get goosebumps and get a slight urge to hop a plane. :)

The wishes music from WDW gets me every single time... and being at DL last year and having parts of it in the dreams come true just pulls my heart strings.

I will probably cry at everything! But I have the belly excuse ;)

This thread isn't helping my whole "missing disneyland depression" even though i was just there last month i crave it more.

Fantasmic always makes me tear up. When the music starts I just get chills. And watching my youngest girls watch it with such excitement on their faces does it for me also.

On a slightly different note, the fact that my 13 year old son is starting to become bored with Disney makes me sad/teary. He wants go to places like Knott's and Magic Mountain with big, scary roller coasters.

Ugh, I get teary-eyed over everything. Or at least atm when it's happening.

*At the end of Fantasmic when Sorcerer Mickey is shooting fireworks across the sky.

*The middle part of Parade of Dreams after Walt says "To all who come to this happy place... welcome" and before the music break. The key change always gets me.

*The "Silent Night" part of the Christmas fireworks.

*The end of Golden Dreams when the song "Just One Dream" plays. It seems like forever, but I always tear like crazy.

Shhh. Don't let my DH know that I am telling on him; :rolleyes1 but HE gets teary-eyed whenever he hears Jiminy Cricket sing "When You Wish Uopn A Star." Sweet! :lovestruc

For me it was seeing our oldest grandson make a wish at the wishing well in ToonTown, he asked for a bike (and got one for his next birthday), but just seeing him make that wish and KNOWING it would come true because he made it at Disneyland...it just really got to me! :sad1:

Look what I started, a bunch of crying Disneyland people... :sad1:

What gets me all teary eyed too is at the end of Soarin' when you end back at Disneyland and it's Christmas time and Tink is flying over the castle... I get the chills when I see that!!! It's like "yay!! we're home!". :cloud9:

The Animation room or Off the Page (whatever it's called!) at DCA. I can sit in there for hours. I seriously want to live in that room.

The song makes me cry too, but also the fact that Cliff Edwards was penniless and a unknown actor at the time of his death makes it even more sad. :(

Awww.... sorry you can't enjoy it anymore.

Thanks...it was always like a small slice of "Epcot" ay DCA since it reminded me of the "American Adventure". I truely never understood why others didn't find it emotionally engaging and uplifting.

Basically anything can set me off;) , but the biggest thing is watching my daughter and seeing the joy and wonder on her face as she experiences everything Disney.:sad1:

For me it's simply being there with those i love.

i love glancing over and watching my mothers face when she's watching the parade...it always makes my eyes water.

i love the exact moment my granddaughter got to see belle for the first time..it just squeezed my heart and i admit i had to hold my breath not to cry.

i can't wait to watch my husband and his parents at disneyland.. and to see them with the babies.. it's just going to be the bestest.

i don't know who was more excitted on peter pan's ride.. my granddaughter or my mother... all i know was when we flew out of the window and over london.. i was glad it was dark because it hid my little tears.

Everyone talks about time being money ..really it's moments being realized and cherished.:goodvibes
Oh my word, I am sitting here crying as I read this. Shame on you!!:sad1:
I am crying because my mom and dad are coming with us and I know that I will look at mom and start to cry. I will watch my parents with my daughter and start to cry. I will cry watching my siblings.
I thinks I better put a box of Puffs onto my shopping list of things to bring.

Ok, a couple things make me get teary-eyed

* walking down Main St. right after the park opens. The music and sounds just make me SO happy

* The parade's song "Welcome to our family time" and of course when Walt says "All who come to this happy place.....welcome".

* FIREWORKS! The music makes me so emotional.

I have such a difficult time explaining to my mom why I LOVE Disneyland SO much.

The only thing I could do was compare it to the feeling on Christmas eve/ Day when my whole family is together. I explained that everyone is just so happy and we are all together, either us kids and then the adults or all of us mixed in together, it's so happy. Then my mom said "No, Cristabel. That's JOY!"

Oh my goodness, I did not know that...how sad! I know he was in "His Girl Friday" with Cary Grant, but I really can't think of seeing him in other movies at the moment. But that is really sad. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

 I did. :) I went to see it several times -- to get a glimpse of the sacrices that people from different cultures made to create our California ... I'm going to miss it.

Yeah, I read that in my Encyclopedia of Disney Animated Characters and cried right in front of the book! Jiminy is such a cute little character, a favorite icon very much like Tinker Bell in those old specials! Others have sang "When You Wish Upon a Star" but none really sound so touching as his version. :sad1:

I get teary eyed when i am sitting there watching the fireworks with popcorn or when i am driving towards disneyland and i see just the matterhorn and tower of terror sticking up in the sky. idk why it just gets me lol
