Okay - I was down with calling the yet-to-be-announced Contemporary DVC the CRV. I like it - it sounds all space-age and mod.

Then, they said Kingdom Towers - which was awful. It sounded like a deluxe hotel at the abandoned Jim Bakker Christian theme park or a hotel attached to the Mideval Times dinner theater. The acronym was not any better - KT (pronounced "Katie" - like the name of a hurricane)

So now it's Bay Lake Tower - which is much better than Kingdom Tower IMHO - but the acronym is awful. I don't know that I'll ever get used to referring to any DVC resort as a Bacon Lettuce and Tomato sandwich.

I will probably call it Contemporary DVC. Lots of typing, but I will never remember the real name...

I'm okay with BLT...although CRV would be more consistent with their other properties attached to Deluxe hotels.

I like the name Bay Lake Tower, plus it gets rid of those awful Jim and Tammy Faye visuals. I was having nightmares about a 50' X 40' portrait of them hanging in the lobby!

And I like BLT sandwiches! Toxic white bread and bacon / healthy lettuce and tomato -- perfect balance!

As long as it's DVC and I can get in occasionally at seven months, I don't care what they call it.

Given the recent name change paperwork and the unappealing nature of BLT, I'm thinking of it as BLV (Bay Lake Villas) or even VBL (but that's too close to VBR, I think).

So that's my write in vote: BLV

For now, I'm gonna call it "the yet-to-be-announced Contemporary DVC".

If we can have VWL, AKV, BWV, and BC, why not CRV? I mean it is connected to the CR.

I vote for CRV. I should not be thinking about a sandwich when posting on the Dis unless I have one in front of me at the time...not liking BLT at all. :confused3

I'm doing South Beach for my diet right now...and a BLT sounds just heavenly :(

Okay...back on topic.
I like Bay Lake Towers, so I voted for that. As someone suggested above, Bay Lake Villas would be great.
And I concur with JimMIA's "as long as its DVC and I can get in occasionally at 7 months!"

Not BLT, just thinking of that has made me so hungry::yes:: , and its not good to eat after 6 pm-right:confused3 ? So I voted for CRV:thumbsup2

You all are cracking me up with all the BLT comments. :rotfl: :lmao:

I'm ok with BLT. Just have to have it on whole grain bread and lite mayo.

Seriously, I don't understand the avoiding the Contemporary name, unless that is, the future holds something different for the Contemporary :stir:

Maybe they are still going to call it CRV but the tower will be called BLT...kind of like AKV's has Kidani Village but nobody refers to it as KV (at least not yet anyway). :confused3

I don't care what they call it as long as I can stay there at least once. I spoke to a CM at a DVC both yesterday. He wouldn't confirm that the building was definitely going to be DVC, but he did say that the plans call for kitchens & kitchenettes. I must have been off base I thought they were already announced to be DVC

No, I don't think they announced it yet. It was just known that they applied to the state for timeshare licensing for that location, but they still refuse to admit it will be a DVC building.

Anyone else notice the suspicious inclusion of an article about the new CR restaurant in the current issue of Disney Files? I don't recall them including articles about non DVC-related onsite properties..........popcorn::

Wonder if BLTs are on the menu. :rotfl: Or the popular Disney Vacation Club sandwiches...:rotfl:
