This is our first trip to Disney. Our children are 10,7. Any words of wisdom, thoughts or suggestions? We would love to chat with someone else that will be sailing with us. We will be at the park first, from the 11-15.

:( No one else is going to be on Wonder the 15-18th? We need to network and share info! Thanks for responding quickly!

We have a party of 10 on the same land/sea package. We're new to the cruise, so can't provide much info. However, with regard to the LAND part, here are a few tips from our prior trips:

1. Utilize FAST PASS whenever you can, this will allow you to get the most out of your time in the parks.

2. Try to do at least 1 character meal. The 7 y/o will love it, and so should your 10 y/o. We usually go to the Liberty Tree Taven for dinner, and have enjoyed it every time. Its family style, with Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip and Dale in revolutionary era costumes.

3. Try to see the Electric Parade at least once.

4 Don't try to do it all. You can't. Just go with the flow, and enjoy the trip. Even a little down time can be fun.

Only 11 days to go!!!

We will be joining you on the land/sea package starting on the 11th! it will be my husband and I, our duaghter (10) niece (12), my sister and her husband and two kids (8) (9)! This is our second land/sea package...glad to help with any questions!

We aren't taking the Land and Sea package, but we will be at WDW the same time and will be on the cruise on the 15th. I had posted a couple months ago to see if anyone was going and only got a couple responds. Maybe the ship will be deserted. It will be just my husband and myself. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary. We will be at WDW the 10th-15th at BCV then off to the cruise. Maybe we'll see you there. I can't believe it is only 9 days till we leave!

Well I guess that I am wrong. I just checked Expedia to see availability on the 15th cruise and it is showing that it is sold out. I know that there is a convention going on during that cruise, so that probably filled the ship.

This is taken straight from the Spring issue of the Disney Magazine:

May 15th - The collector's convention "Disney Adventure On The High Seas, A Celebration Of Walt Disney Art Classics," ships out on the Disney Wonder, through May 18th.

That's actually all I know about it. Except someone here on the board did inform me that the convention was limited to 450 persons. Maybe we will see some good art work on the cruise.
