Crushed! Now what?

My mom and I are going to a convention at WDW in November. We were orginally told that there would be a 3 day hopper to the parks paid for with our registration. I found out this morning that the lady I had been speaking to was misinformed and we actually get zero tickets! :confused3 I am totally crushed! I could purchase a convention discounted ticket, but it's still something like $46 and we would only get 3-4 hours in any one park because of our time restraints. I refuse to pay that much!

I know that we will resort hop on the monorail and shop (more like window shop) Downtown Disney. What else would you suggest doing that low cost and outside of the theme parks? I am very knowledgable when it concerns the parks, but this will be only my second time staying onsite -- my first time was in May and we only slept at the hotel! We are staying at Coronado Springs if that helps. . .

Any help will be great! Thanks

Well first, I would reconsider the convention ticket. 46 is a pretty good deal - one day tickets are something like 71 now. (I know - shocked me too!) But if that's really not an option (and 46 is still a lot to pay for 4 hours, true) then here are some more suggestions:

1. make use of your pool. Coronado Springs has a pretty cool pool area
2. Try a sandwich at Earl's at DTD while you are window shopping. Inexpensive (around $6-7 I think) and they are HUGE and very yummy. You could even split one, they are pretty large.
3. Check out the Boardwalk area. Lots to walk around and see. You can rent those surry bikes also, for not that much.
4. Miniature golf at Fantasia Gardens. Near the boardwalk so you could do both fairly easily.
5. Ride the monorail and check out those resorts. GF, Poly, and Contemporary are all very lovely to see. And some great shops to window shop in as well.

Hope this helps! Have fun! :)

Go Pub Crawling at the BoardWalk, hitting ESPN Club, Big River Brewery and JellyRolls late. Catch the street performers there and perhaps ride the MGM/EPCOT/BW boats for fun. Hit PI and spend some time at Raglan Road. Check out the House of Blues for any entertainment offered. Hop WDW transportation to MK and tour the resorts, paying a visit to the pubs, of course. Take the boat from PI/DTD to POR and catch Bob Jackson at the piano there.

you could always go watch a movie and see Chip and Dale at the Camprground for free!

I know you stated that the cost & time available is an issue. But even with only 3-4 hours and with the discounted ticket, I'd hit the Food & Wine festival if it's still going on when you're there.

Since you'll be at Disney owned resort, you might want to check to see if any of the nights that you're there any of the parks have extra magic hours in the evening that would give you extra time in that park.

NO offence, but suck it up and buy the 3 day hopper for under $50. :thumbsup2
There's plenty to do outside the parks...but I'm sure your evenings will be somewhat free. Head over to the boardwalk and hit up the world showcase. just my two cents!
