The Oriental Land Company has confirmed that everyone's favorite turtle from Finding Nemo will be a new addition to Tokyo DisneySea.
Turtle Talk with Crush will open in Fall of 2009. The attraction will sit inside the S.S. Columbia ship (adjacent to Mt. Promethius), and should sit up to 200 audience members.

My thoughts on this. DisneySea's most recent additions have been clones from theme-parks of the U.S. (Tower of Terror, Turtle Talk, and *rumored Soarin' in the distant future).
Is Disney's most creative and innovative theme-park running dry on fresh ideas? The park hit a home-run with original creations such as Journey To The Center Of The Earth, Sinbad, Mermaid Lagoon, and Raging Spirits. I'd personally like to see the O.L.C. pop out some more original attractions (which made TDS a landmark), and fewer of the clones.
Though Soarin' Over Tokyo would be spectacular.

A few things to note. First, the SS Columbia is NOT adjacent to Mt. Prometheus, its in the New York Harbor section of the park.

Second, they don't just get "clones" usually without plussing them in some way. Their Tower of Terror is MUCH different than the U.S. versions and has much more elaborate theming throughout.

Having said that, putting Turtle Talk on the Columbia really seems like a strange fit. Hopefully they'll find a way to do it well.

Anyway, I'll be at TDS and TDL in Feburary!! :woohoo:

From now on, if a new attraction is opening in one of the parks, they are going to open it in a different park because it saves money. Example- Toy Story Mania. Newest attraction, right? That is what they plan to do from now on.

But there's a huge difference between the Disney owned and operated parks and OLC which owns the Tokyo parks. They usually want something bigger and better...their Winnie the Pooh ride and new Monsters Inc. ride opening are totally different than anywhere else, and cost a lot more money.

I am very jealous of you right now. I will definitely make a trip to TDS someday; that's a goal, hopefully within the next 5 years. But yes sir, very jealous indeed.
Please take plenty of TDS pics to share here.:)

That's just what I heard, and im not sure where I heard it from... im pretty sure it was in some sort of Disney paper, but I cant be sure. I think it makes sense for them to make them in at least two parks, because if you're going to make that technology, it would kind of be a waste to not at least use it twice. I dont feel that way, and feel like it isn't as creative, but it seems like they have alot of duplicates.
