Crummy Vitamins: Anyone else?

Does anyone else feel NO DIFFERENCE when they take vitamins vs when they do not? I cant tell any difference AT ALL. Do you take something really great? Tell me what, PLEASE! (legal, over the counter only please.) ;)
 
I use Nature's Sunshine products. Actually, my Dr. sent me to an herbalist and this is the line of products she endorses. They are more expensive than Walmart/Target brands etc. But, I can tell a difference - unless it's all in my head.
 
I've done the vitamin/herb/supplement thing to the hilt. Tried all kinds - never felt one iota of a difference.

I think it's a big money-making scam. At least for me. Some people swear by them, and hey, whatever floats their boat. But I've jumped that ship for good.;)
 
I find that when I take multis or calcium, the joint where the pinky toe meets my right foot starts to hurt... :confused3
 

I feel worse when I take vitamins. I feel even more tired than usual, and my stomach starts to act up. One time when I took calcium supplements (which EVERY doctor that I've seen tries to get me to take), I had horrible sharp pains in my stomach. Stopped taking the calcium - the pain went away. Started taking it again, every other day - pain came back. Stopped competely - pain went away and I've never had it since. No more vitamins for me.
 
I bought the One A Day All Day Energy vitamins - since I started taking them I swear I'm more tired! :confused3 :rotfl:

Sounds the same as when I tried an energy drink. Can't remember the name of it but it tasted like orange soda. 20 minutes later I fell asleep and took a good nap!:confused3
 
You may not even need a multi-vitamin.

When I went to the "herbalist" (believe me I called her a witch doctor before I went), recommended by my doctor, I had no expectation that the "herbs" or whatever would do any good - just a bunch of hooey. But after 3 years and no success on regular meds for a medical condition, I agreed with my doctor that I had nothing to loose.

When I first went to her-- she did a "reading" that pretty much blew my mind. She told me what I needed to help correct my problems. I also explained that I had no energy and had to drag myself through the day and could barely get out of bed in the morning. She told me to take this Chinese Chi Tonic (tastes like sewage water). She added that I could stop taking my other supplements, including the multivitamin because I did not need it. Lo and behold, tests from my doc reveal that the herbs are indeed helping my condition.

I was one who did not believe in this stuff but it has actually helped me. I really am not a crackpot and I don't sell this stuff. This is just my experience. I would have never ventured this far into natural healing without the recommendation of my medical doctor.

Please no flames -- again this is just my experience.
 
I can tell you that when I take anything with a lot of the B vitamins in it I get very, very sick to my stomach..

The only thing I have ever noticed a "good" response from was when I took Vitamin E for hot flashes when I was first going through menopause.. Knocked them right out! :thumbsup2

There isn't ATP in the vitamins. :) If you ever study ATP (adenosine triphosphate), you'll laugh your butt off. Even the most basic study of ATP is a pain in the butt...but you'd quickly find that those vitamins are not delivering "Peak ATP." :)

I take multivitamins. The body needs that stuff, and I don't get it in my diet.

But I wouldn't believe anyone who claimed their vitamins would give you more energy because they have "Peak ATP", whatever that is, in them. Not to say the vitamins aren't any good, but they are misleading people.
 
I notice a huge difference when I take my vitamins. And they don't make me sick - a big plus.

You'd think I'd be better about taking them...;)
