Here is an old family recipe:
Crumb Cake
2 1/2 cup cake flour
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup margarine, softened
Cream butter sugar and eggs. Then add flour and milk, a little at a time alternating each. Blend in vanilla. Pour into greased and floured 15 x 9 baking dish.
Crumbs
1 heaping cup of regular flour
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tbs cinnamon
1/2 margarine + 1 extra tbs (or butter)
Mix dry ingredients then work in margarine (or butter) until mixture forms crumbs. Place over cake batter that is already in pan. Sometimes you have to form the crumbs by pressing the mix firmly together.
Bake a 350 for 35 - 40 min.
