I booked a cruise today with my mother who is blind. I have been searching and I don't see a ton of information on items for the visually impaired. I know I can let DCL know but are there any other resources out there? It is quite surprising how many restaurants have braille menus so I am sure Disney has amazing resources. They have always been great to us at WDW.

Did you find this? It's the Guests with disabilities guidebook

I'm not sure on Braille Menus but they definitely have large print menus. I'm blind but still have central vision so use this a lot. I request when I do the disability form online

Will she be traveling with a guide dog? You (or she) will need to complete the Special Services Information Form and be aware of the rules and requirements for traveling with a service dog. I suggest starting that process sooner rather than later as it can take some time to get approved.

The movie theater has audio description receivers available. Stop at Guest Services to learn more. Unfortunately I don't know if similar is available for the stage shows.

I believe there is an audio option for the DCL onboard app, which might read the menus to her.

I suggest contacting DCL Special Services to discuss what she needs.

Thank you for this information. She doesn't have a dog and I struggle getting her to use her cane.
