Cruising with TBI and PTSD

These are great suggestions and things to keep in mind!! I work with families of children with disabilities and it is truly heart-warming to read positive remarks about a company...a travel company at that...that makes things pleasurable for individuals and families with special needs. My daughter has some hearing sensitivities...and I didn't even realize that I might need to prepare her for the muster drills. I'm glad I read here!!

And you've reminded me of another thing. The alarm/siren/klaxon that is done indicating that it is muster drill (safety drill on dcl) time. We were in a stateroom when it sounded and it nearly took our autistic cousin to his knees. It hurt me, too. I have some hearing loss and loud sounds hurt, which is why I keep earplugs on me at themeparks. I felt so bad for my cousin. Obviously in an emergency that noise will be good as the alert but for the drill you know it's coming and want to prepare. I'd try to not be in a stateroom or the hallway. So loud.

Thank you. So prepare her for the noise before the drill...and hopefully be out of our stateroom and the hallway?

Right. Go ahead and get to your muster station before the alarm is sounded.
