Cruising with older teens... Need advice please

It's my understanding that if everyone in the cabin is over 18 they can be in a cabin without an adult. But no even if they are related. An adult needs to be booked in the cabin if younger than 18.
Once you get on the ship you can get extra key cards to open the other cabins but you will need to carry the keycard with your name on it to change things and to get on and off the ship.

We were on the Magic with our twenty-year-old in February. There were 1820 society activities listed in the Navigator, but he refused to go, since he was enjoying hanging out in the adult areas with us.

When we rebooked onboard we decided to have 2 rooms for the 1st time. We were told that we (the parents) had to be in seperate rooms as our kids would be 20 & 17. If our daughter was 21 or our son 18, they could have been booked into the same room.
The 18-20 society is listed in the navigator. The first meeting, which your son should go to, is sometime around 10 - 10.30pm on the first night. Vibe also has a meet to discus the week at a similar time.

Do you think there is plenty for them to Do? Since my son turned18 they can't go into any of the age defined areas together. Either he's too old or she's too young.
How strict are the CMs when it comes to age? Ali is 16 but could possibly pass for 18....

We just cruised in Feb with a newly minted 18 yr old. I was worried about what she would do bcs she is a little shy. She went the first night to the meet and greet at the coffee bar. There were maybe 6 kids there and she had a great time. They would meet and then all go w a CM to whatever event was happening in Evolution. They all sat together in a back table and had fun during the scavenger hunt, etc. There was also a get together on castaway cay to go biking. In all, she had a great time!

I would let your kids go to their respective groups the first night and see how things go.

Just hoping that once we get to the port and get checked in they Will get the key cards squared away in a way that Will work for us.

When we did our booking they implied that it is very common, so there shouldn't be a problem :).
