I was off the week of my 29th. I don't work on my birthday. I've stuck to that for years. Just say no to working on your birthday.

As soon as you've been with my company for 5 years (in your 5th year) you get your birthday off with pay!!!

Happy New Year everyone! It's 2012! You know what that means right? We're going to Disney World this year!

As their fans were leaving the arena after the 5th & 6th Bruins goals, I was waving at them saying 'buh-bye.' I'm such a stinker

I'm hoping to be a stinker when we go to Minneapolis to see the Jets play the Wild. lol

Speaking of hockey, did anyone (besides Heather ) watch the Winter Classic? All I can say is, my Rangers are kicking some hockey butt this season!

The Disneyland game is so much fun! I played the other day and flew with Peter Pan and fought Captain Hook. I love that you an interact with all the different characters and help them out with their quests. I really hope they make one for all of the Disney parks or at least MK in FL. You can come over and use our Kinect if you wanna make the trip to Jersey.

LOL thanks for the offer the game just sounds so awesome, I can't imagine WHY they'd just stick to one game console. Who does that??!? Ugh!

Up until last year I hadn't ever worked on my bday. Not sure why I thought last year would be a good one to change that. Oh well, I learned my lesson! Do you think you'll do anything at home for the big 3-0? IDK if I want DH to plan anything for me, aside from spending the $$ at disney. I can see him planning some big party or something but I just HATE being the center of attention

I really can't believe our cruise is just over 5 months away. I remember when I booked it and we had a year and 2 months to go! It really did fly by. I can check us in and make our Palo reservations March 17! Here's hoping the rest of the wait flies by but that time magically slows down while we're on vacation. Isn't it shameful to wish a whole year away??

My NYE was fun. Kris and I went to dinner with some of our friends and about 10 other people at this place called Char, an upscale steakhouse. It was yummy! We spent about 2 hours there and left around 10 to go to this bar called Willie McBride's. It's two levels - the upper level had a band and there was a DJ downstairs. We hung out downstairs most of the night and they gave us hats & noisemakers plus champagne at midnight. It was a good time! I was happy we spent it with some of our good friends.

Kris and I went to the Devils/Bruins game last night. I'm not a fan of either team but the tickets were free so we couldn't pass them up! We were behind Brodeur about 20 rows back, great seats. The Bruins are the lesser of two evils so I cheered for them. I was happy the Devils got their butts kicked. Work has been busy lately because 1) we were closed all weekend for New Years so there's been a flood of people in the past two days because of that and 2) it's Disney month here at AAA! Lots of people coming in for that. I did four Disney quotes yesterday! I hope I get some bookings out of that We're holding a Disney night on Tuesday. The reps for each resort come in plus the DCL and Adventures by Disney reps and make speeches about each place. Then clients have the opportunity to speak with us and book their trips. It's a fun event and I'm looking forward to it (and the extra hours that come with it Disney Fund!)

I don't think we're going to do anything special. I was thinking of maybe just going out for dinner & drinks with some of our friends either before or after the trip. Nothing crazy. Disney World is more than enough

It's Disney overdrive in here this month! I'm at work now and we were slammed all morning. I booked a Disney trip for a couple traveling in April

I loved the Winter Classic! HBO 24/7 was making me like Rupp ("you're irrelevant") and the Winter Classic just sealed the love. What a game! And throwing in the Jagr salute? Priceless.

The Devils/Bruins game was 6-1. Devils struck first and then the Bruins were relentless. I loved every second of it.

I hate the cold too! Except for that freak snow storm in October, we've been lucky! It's close to 60 degrees out right now.

It is! That game hurts my arms! I feel like I can't get out of Fantasyland either. There are so many characters and quests there, it just keeps bringing me back. I can't believe how lifelike it is though. That's exactly what the park looks like, down to the garbage cans!

We're gonna avoid the parks on the Sat and Sun of Columbus Day weekend....so we might go over to Ripleys Believe it or Not or the kids have been asking about Seaworld. I'm gonna take ME to the parks and back to the airport. And just pick up the rental at the Disney Car Care center the day we arrive since it's just DTD for us that night and being it back the morning of the day we leave.

I can't believe it's only 8 and a half months to go!!!

I'm trying decide whether I want to go to a two table TS for my birthday and use the extra credit that way or just pick another restaurant. It depends on whether Be Our Guest is open or not. I wonder if that will be 2 TS. I wish we had more information on it!

I was debating about renting a car. I really don't think we'd use it for the parks unless we had an early ADR but it would come in handy for resort meals. Decisions, decisions. I have one booked so I guess I'll just see where I'm at financially as the trip gets closer.

We're avoiding the parks Columbus Day weekend too. We may brave Epcot on Sunday and hit up MK on Monday before we leave. But Saturday we're steering clear and heading to a waterpark!

Hello there!

It's been a busy week. Tuesday was Disney night here at work. It's one of the best we've had with over 65 people showing up. I talked to a few people including a repeat client who ended up booking a trip in November for her & her son. They've booked two trips through me before and to show their appreciation, gave me a $20 Disney GC. So sweet of them! I'm hoping the other people I talked to get in touch with me soon and book. I love helping people plan their trips!

Our Disney rep bought in huge Mickey head balloons and I ended up taking one home. I have not seen the cat since then. He's terrified of it and wouldn't come out from behind the couch until last night after we went to bed...and moved the Mickey balloon from the living room to the bedroom.

I've been adding a little here and there to my Disney Fund. I'm currently up to $495.40. My goal for the cruise is $500 and I'm so close! And so far I have $55 in Disney gift cards and I'm hoping to have a lot more within the upcoming months. I think I'm going to use them to help pay off our dining plan.

So I think I have a rough idea of what we're going to be doing each day. Is it too early to post that? I'll let you guys decide.

Still no JetBlue airfare prices! I'm getting impatient...

Hi all!

Ok, so I figured now was as good a time as any to post my daily plans. I'll be posting them one day at a time to give me something to do between now and my ADR date (April 3!). I'm basing everything on TouringPlans and what the projected dates/times for the parks are.

Day 1 - September 30th

Now, I don't have my airfare yet because I'm waiting for JetBlue to publish their fares (c'mon already!). I'm hoping to get in during early afternoon but all of the cheaper fares look like they're coming in later at night. So I have two scenarios for this day.

If we get in early:
We'll check-in but since we're renting DVC points, I doubt the room will be ready. We'll probably hang out by the pool for a bit and maybe head to DTD for a little while for a CS lunch or lunch at T-Rex depending on the time. There is supposed to be a MNSSHP that night and if there is, that's the one we plan on going to. That way we can snack on candy for the rest of our trip! We'll have a CS dinner at MK.

If we get in late, based on the flights we'll get in after 9pm:
Straight to the room! Maybe hang out at the pool, have a drink to celebrate we're on vacation, and explore the resort. Then it's off to bed!

And that's day 1!

Oh and just shy of 5 months til our cruise!

Either plan sounds great! When I commuted into GCT last week, DCL advertising was in full force! Looks like they're really pushing for people to get on these NYC cruises-- I'm so tempted!!

I was close to buying airfare through Continental just because their fares were published and they had the times I wanted. I don't even like Continental. I wish JetBlue would hurry up already! I want to check SW too. They don't fly direct from Newark but they fly out of Philly and I'm willing to go there if the price is right.

I hope we get to do MNSSHP that night. MK is my favorite park and I feel like you have to start a WDW trip with MK. The castle is a beautiful sight

Hello, hello!

I won a prize from Sunshine Rewards! They ran a contest through most of November and December where you got entered into a raffle for every survey your completed. If you reached 100 entries, you also received a $10 bonus. I reached 100 entries and got the bonus a couple weeks ago. Then I got an email a day or two ago that said I was a raffle prize winner! I won a gift basket from Dale and Thomas Popcorn. Cool! I never win stuff!

I'm off tomorrow and am really looking forward to the day. My sister and I are going to see Kelly Ripa in the morning. I've seen her before (when she was with Regis) and it's a lot of fun. The only downside is that you have to be at the studio by 745, which means waking up around 5-530 am to catch a 630 train into the city. I don't know how people commute to NYC everyday. It's not far from here but I'd be super tired all the time. After the show we're going to have lunch somewhere in the city. I have a Landry's gift card and I think they own Bubba Gump so maybe we'll go there. Never been there before! And since we'll already be in the city, I thought 'why not make a whole day out of it?' So I bought tickets to see the Rangers tomorrow night! It's my first Rangers game of the season. I got a great deal too. I bought the tickets off a season ticket holder which means no service fees and I got them for about $15 under face value. I'm super excited. I'm not sure what we're going to be doing the rest of the day but I'm sure we'll figure something out.
