I have been watching this thread for a while now. I wanted to say hello! We are not officially booked yet. We want an inside room and we are holding out in hope of an IGT rate like they have done the past few years. We have our hotel rooms booked in Miami, our airfare booked to Miami (we can change it if we have to) and live in San Diego, our work time is off, our kiddos preschool is on alert, so we are all set...we just need the IGT rate. It seems like this is the closest year so far to the sail date that an IGT has not been released. We have our fingers and our toes crossed that we will be joining you...or maybe they will offer a travel agent discount last minute, since I have my IATA, that would work too.

Hang on. I have a feeling those rates will be coming soon. They will go fast because there is only 11b's ,10b's and a few 10 A's left. Everything else is GTY.

I just want to tell you that last year's WBPC cruise was the best cruise we have ever had. I hope to do it again some day. Have a great time, you lucky people!

You just go into their website and act as though you are booking. When you go to book a room, the available room numbers will pop up. If 8 room numbers show up then there could be many more besides. If there are less than 8, then that is all that is left. The ones that show gty and no room number available, that just means there are so few rooms left in that category if any that you will be assigned that category or better. So as I said before many of the inside cabins are gty. Unlike the oceanview cabins, that have availability of at least 8 rooms for every category.

The APP is no longer needed for the new software. You can delete it from your phone and use the DIS without the APP. (The developer of the APP was bought out by another company who no longer supports it.) The APP has not worked for some time now - since before the new software.

Interesting. My app worked all the way up to the new software was put into place. I wish a new app would come out.

Hi all, I posted this over on the Facebook group but completely forgot to post it here. For that I apologise as I realise not everybody uses FB.

On our last cruise, I arranged private Mixology sessions for our group. It ended up being a bit of a nightmare to organise as it was a Halloween sailing and people were very concerned about things clashing, however it was a huge amount of fun and very popular - we ended up with 3 sessions with 30 people on each. Because it was so much fun, I would be more than happy to organise a similar thing for our group on this sailing, if possible.

I have been in touch with DCL and have had confirmation that they can work with us to arrange Mixology for our group. A few people asked if, due to the number of sea days, we could run sessions with different drinks so they could attend twice so my proposal is to request Mixology sessions and maybe Martini tastings also.

If anybody is interested, please reply here or PM me and I will add your name to the interested list. I am not looking for a firm commitment at this stage. I will be looking to get final names around 3 months prior.

Does anyone know how much the airport transfers in San Diego will be? We were thinking just hop a cab but some of the reports saying it was a long, crazy wait for a cab have me a little worried.

I don't know how much it is, but I have put several dates on my calendar when ships will be in San Diego (debarkation, not port stops) so that I can go over there one day and see how things look! I will report back for all of you who are trying to make plans. Of course, no guarantees that it will be the same, but I figure I can at least get an idea.
