We are booked on the Sept 24th which will bring us in back in on Sat Oct 1st.
There is a MNSSHP on Sunday night. Do you think it is worth if for us to stay? DD is 4 and loves Halloween but we would be booking 2 nights at WDW for only that. We really can't go to a park the day we disembark (Sat) because I can't imagine us getting into the park until 11am at the earliest. Also dd still takes naps so it doesn't seem worth it to us. Also DH would have to miss another day at work since we wouldn't be leaving until Monday now. We have never been to the MNSSHP and wondering if we should do it then.

I was thinking maybe in another few years when she is older but then she would be missing school - ugh - advice???

Having been a prior resident of Orlando, I have spent a lot of time at Disney World, but October 2002 was the first time to go to Mickey's Halloween party. We took our boys, then 6 and 8, and had the most wonderful time. We skipped the park during the day and just bought tickets for the party and it was well worth it. Our boys wore their Halloween costumes and had a great time trick-or-treating through the park. The characters all seemed to be very available and we didn't have to wait much to meet (and get our picture taken with) any of them. The special parade with the characters dressed in their Halloween costumes was great, also. It was really neat to get to experience Disney in a whole new way and I would definitely recommend it.

Hi there!
We did MNSSHP last October. My kids are: DS4 and DD2 and they were the same ages last October. We had an absolute blast! We are going back this October just to do it again. It was the highlight of our trip. The kids loved dressing up and trick or treating, the parade is so fun with all the villians and we got on every ride without much wait. BTW, we are cruising for the first time on DCL from the 20th thru the 23rd. I vote,"Do it! :cool1: "

Ok, I have taken the cruise then done the parks! WORTH IT!!! Now, you can disembark as early as 6:30am if you skip your breakfast therefore putting you on WDW property by 8am, you could check in and leave your bags in the car and be at the park by 9, 10am at the latest! I say do it! Why not? I Loved the MNSSHP. When we went there were a lot of kids that were trick or treating but the rides weren't that busy! It would be fun for your 4 year old, you could dress her up and take her trick or treating throughout the park and ride the rides! I would definitely do it!

Well I think we are probably going to end up going - since we are already down there and saving money I think that is what we will end up doing. Hmm, now we should we stay, LOL - oh decisions decisions!!! We probably will do Wilderness Lodge since it is so close to MK. We have two free tickets to Sea World and haven't been there yet so we may go there for the day we disembark, then rest Sunday morning and do resort pools and such and then do MNSSHP party that night and leave on Monday.

We went last year the first part of October with our two DDs. It's great! WL would be a good choice or one of the monorail hotels. We moved from WL to the Poly that morning in anticipation of crowd, plus my WL room rate was going to change to more than the Poly! :earseek: With MNSSHP tickets you are allowed to enter the park at 4PM, so you could still squeeze a few rides in before the party starts. I think you'll be glad you did it!
