Cruising on points question

When you book a cruise on points, do you get to pick your stateroom at the time of booking? Example, say I ask if there are any cat 11 on deck 7 aft, would they be able to tell me and then give me a room in that location? TIA

I had a list of rooms I wanted and we went down the list till the MS, working with DCL, found one that was available. So, yes, you can choose a particular stateroom if it is available.

Has the 2005 points chart been published yet? We are looking to go in April 2005 and don't know whether to pay cash or use points.

We cruised on points in November 2002 - took the 4 night cruise and had a category 6 cabin with a balcony. Had a wonderful time and it was a nice alternative to a stay at WDW. We plan to do it again in 2006, probably a 7 night next time.
