Cruisin' MAYniacs - May 14-17, 2009

We got our cabin number....deck 2 rm 2150.

Happy to get an upgrade to Cat 9 but not thrilled that we will apparently be woken up very early each morning we pull in to port because of the noise. Oh well!! At least it will keep us from sleeping the day away!!

I can't believe how close it is getting and how much I have to do before we leave. I haven't even got all of the fabric I will need to make our FE. That is officially my goal for this week!

Hope everyone has a great week!!!

Shannon

Diana.....so sorry to hear about your job situation. I will be praying that all works out for you. :grouphug:

Shannon

Thanks Shannon. I am sure something good is going to happen. When one dootr closes I know another will open. I am trying to stay as positive as I can!

I just contacted my TA on Palo, they are booked up, I suppose we will try once we get on board, if not, then oh well! LOL

WOW, we are under 3 weeks now until we leave for FL. I am really excited ... the kids are starting to get their clothes together, pack their carry-on bags ... it's getting close now!!

Hope everyone has a good week. It's 45 degrees in CT today ... what the heck??

Okay, so what documents should I be on the lookout for? This is our first cruise and orginally webooked through DCL, but then changed and used DVC points for one person. (I know poor use of points, but only way we could still afford to go).
Time is starting to fly! I just realized there are only 18 more days til we fly out and I'm working 12 of those..not including the Mondays in my DD's class and the yardsale I convinced myself to have. AHHHHHH!

Oh, and I never lost the weight I meant to lose either. :confused3

Denise

Dang, I sound really whiny! Sorry guys....I hardly ever post and then I get all stressed out on you!

Wooooo Hooooo!!

:cool1::banana::dance3::woohoo::yay: Doin' the DOCUMENT DANCE!!! :cool1::banana::dance3::woohoo::yay:

The UPS man JUST left ... it's funny ... Gabi and I were both 1/2 way to the door and she ran for it (typical 11 year old girl!) and I was like, "I GOT IT!!!!" cuz I saw who it was through the window!!

She comes running into the kitchen ... WHO GOT MAIL???

hahahahahahaha DENIED!!

Denise,

The documents that you will get: its a fairly small package ... inside it has a checklist, your luggage tags with your stateroom number on it (make sure these are on when you drop your bags at the gate!) and a travel booklet that important messages and information such as acceptable forms of ID, medical info, charging privileges, etc) and other travel info such as transfers (if you purchased them) and return home flight info if you booked it with Disney.

:)

and PS ... I didn't lose squat either so don't feel bad!! You will be in good company!!

Way to go Kat! Congrats! :cool1:

Okay...so I now have all of the fabric for my FE, and the magnet paper for my door magnets. Now just to put it all together. Hopefully I can get it done this weekend. Oh yeah and I have to shop for a new swimming suit too while I am at it.

Anybody else feel like they have way more things to do than time to do it before the cruise???? :rotfl:

I'm with ya'll too - but I did start tanning so maybe the optical illusion will kick in! I've started gathering stuff, not packing in a suitcase yet but as something occurs to me, I stick it in the pile. It's starting to seem real!

Denise - are you a TGM'er? Seems like I've seen your screen name somewhere before?

Jenni

I am getting so excited!!! I want my documents to arrive, it will feel real then!!!

I agree Shannon, it seems like all of a sudden I'm realizing how much I need to do. I looked at swimsuits last weekend but I couldn't make myself try any on, so I guess I'll stick with the one from last year.

I almost forgot, I got a postcard from Disney yesterday with a PIN for a special offer. We could spend 4 nights and 5 days in a value resort with park tickets and the dining plan included for $638 per adult, and kids 3-9 are free. I'd love to add this on before our cruise, but it's just not gonna happen. We decided at the start of the year not to take a big family vacation this summer, to save money for some major farm expenses we will have this later this year. Then I saw the kids cruise free promotion and convinced DH we should do a small big vacation ;). I'm going to be responsible and not even whine about not getting to use the PIN offer. Well I won't whine to DH but I can whine to you guys right?:rotfl:

Jenni

You can ALWAYS whine to us ... or wine with us? LOL

I know what you mean, Jenni ... I am never happy unless we have at least ONE vacation on the books. I hate feeling that way - it's like I'm just uneasy with no plans to look forward to. I am SOOOOO happy that my husband told me to book Disney for October for Columbus Day. If it weren't for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law planting the seed, we never would have done it. Shoot, I am trying to plan another cruise for next summer ... just have no plan for where the money is coming from! :lmao::rotfl2:

Hi Everyone!
I'm new, but wanted to say hello! Our family will be on the Wonder on May 14too! Our first cruise ever!! We are excited and I decided I needed to get on these forums to get advice, tips and whatever. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed! There will be me, my husband and two girls ages 11 (almost 12) and 9. I've tried reading a lot of threads, but the more I read the more stressed I feel! So much to know and so little time before we leave. Oh well, it'll be fun!

YAY!! 3 weeks to go and another family to add to our meet thread!!

Welcome!!

You will learn so much here ... and please feel free to ask as many questions as you need to!!

You can refer to post #2 on the first page for a run-down of who is here. Please post all of your information (ages, names, where you are from) and I will get you added to the list as well.

I have an 11 year old daughter as well ... and there are quite a few in that age range as a matter of fact.

Looking forward to getting to know you!!

Kat

Okay, I'm still learning the lingo and abbreviations but there will be me DW Karen 37, DH Alex 37, DD Katelyn 11, DD Alexys 9. We are from Alamosa Colorado. I'm basically copying the abbreviations, but what exactly does DW, DD, DH, etc, stand for? Call me crazy....I need to figure all of this out!

We will be in Disneyworld from the 10th until we leave on the 14th. We've never been there either, although we're no strangers to Disneyland in Anaheim. WE LOVE DISNEY!
