Is the drinking age really 16 in Germany?

Yeah I just looked it up and it said 16, but with exeptions. Do you guys know that the US has the highest drinking age. In Switzerland the age is 14 and some places have no restrictions

At 16
-you can purchase beer, wine, champagne or similar stuff of relatively low alcohol-content
-you can purchase tobacco.
-you can aquire a licence for small motorcycles of 125cc and a topspeed of 50mph
At 18
-you can purchase liquor.
-you can vote
-you can aquire your driving licence for bikes up to 34hp and for cars
-you can marry
The only additional perks we have at 21:
-You can gamble in a casino
-you can get a driver's licence for buses and trucks (Like 18-wheelers)

Crimes/felonies committed between 18 and 21 are not punished according to adult law, you're still considered a juvenile delinquent.

Just something I thought of in school today...Whats one thing you want to do before you die? I would want to travel to Africa and climb Mount Kilimanjaro. My mom's friend and her son did it and she said it was AWSOME!

Guess what!?!?!? I went to Mars and back today!!!! We went to the Challenger Learning Center today for a field trip. It was so much fun! I almost crashed the ship. I kept joking like, "Ohhhh, I'm supposed to hit the BRAKES at the big red thing!" or "Yeah, that last turn was supposed to be a LEFT. Sorry". Thats what they get for putting me in Navigation insted of Communications!!!!

I stumbled over an IQ-test on the web today. I even did it in English -and guess what? I can stay on the ship as I scored 138.
But I have to admit that it didn't really come as a surprise as I scored 136 at age 9, and in 1994 I also passed one the most difficult job assessment tests available: The test for ATC-controllers/airline-pilots.

oooh which one did you do? I have found some but they all score me way to high, I have gotten a 155 on tickle, 167 on iqtest.com, and 149 on some other random site... I know these are way off lol...

and I have been told that the test for airline-pilots is extremely hard, as my dad is a pilot and he has to tell me at least once a month lol...

and 136 at 9 is friggin great, cuz your iq is compiled of a score avg x 100 x your age...

that would mean your normal world iq (age 18) is 272... wow... special...

It was Tickle. I started on the German translation Tickle first, but discovered some mistakes on the first pages and then switched to the English one.
Your formula is not correct. As far as I know 100 is the average for the respective age group and 136 simply means that I was 36% above the average of all 9year old kid. BTW, when I did the test for the Air Traffic Control Academy at the German equivalent to NASA (DLR) I scored above average of all tested persons in all topics as well. The test took five days. It was 'Survival of the Fittest': We were 50 people during the first two days of which 10 made it to the third day, 8 to the fourth and 5 to the last day. We were additionally assessed by psychologists and also had to do some physicals: Vision, hearing, etc. We even were tested for flying capabilities as part of our training at the ATC Academy also required us to fly twin engine planes -unfortunately only in the simulator. But we also had to do some flights in the cockpits of Boeing and Airbus aircraft sitting on the jumpseat behind the pilots.
If you do tests like Tickle often you are driving your scores up artificially as you get used to the tasks. This may explain your scores.
You also have to take into account that you are relaxed when you do it at home. It's a different situation when you do it in an enclosed environment under stress and supervised by experts. We even were under observation during the breaks, the meals and even during the evenings at our hotel!!!
When I prepared myself for the ATC test I read in one of the training books 'Everybody should do this test once in his/her life - Just to experience one's limits.' We even had one guy losing it (Going nuts) during the psychological assesment - they needed security personnel to get him out of there

lol... that guy is pretty special... but I have always been told that the (score x 100 x age) = iq... I believed this as accurate because my counselor in sixth grade said so... but you seem like a very intelligent person so I wonder how precise it is lol... BUT my dad's test was over the a 2000 page manual of emergency procedures, and his proctor decided to ask him every question of every page for the first 500 pages... and a five day test sounds quite annoying...

and ive taken the tickle test twice, the second time around i scored 132, way lower than before... how... i dunno... prolly cuz someone was hovering over my back making me nervous, maybe stress does have to do with it!

so it's like I said: As far as I know 100 is the average for the respective age group . Because when mental age is equal to chronological age your IQ is 100.

Heidi: Hope you have a better day. Im use to working with a little bit of sleep. Its not good but oh well.

My favorite holiday is a cross between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I like Thanksgiving becuase you get to eat and all the family comes over and we have such a good time but I like Christmas too because I like to see my sister's face when she opens up her gifts and all the family comes down and we have sooooo much fun. Plus we get to eat. I also like giving out gifts and seeing all the little kids faces when they get that toy that they really wanted.

P.S.-I cant wait...Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire comes out in a couple more days. I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!
