Hello. I hope this is the right place to post this. Is anyone on the Wonder now and do magnet paper stick well on the Wonder doors? Hope so...I have many magnets printed on these. Would love to hear if they do! Thank you guys!

It really depends on the strength of the magnet, and how many times your stateroom door has been painted. Some have been painted more often than others, due to damage caused by former passengers who taped decorations on the door and messed up the paint. I'm assuming that when the Wonder goes into dry dock this fall that all doors will receive another fresh coat of paint.

Agree with the previous response, and will add that my experience in March 2013 was that my magnets printed on Avery magnetic paper did not stick to the outside of our door on the Magic. For all my later cruises, I printed, laminated, and then affixed separate magnets and that worked fine. We were able to put our magnetic paper magnets on the inside of our door as it obviously didn't have as many paint layers. I definitely wouldn't count on magnetic paper though. We were so disappointed when ours wouldn't stick to our door! :(

I haven't had much luck with the magnetic paper. I have some older graphics that I made on magnet paper a long time ago and still use, but I reinforce them with the small round super-strong magnets in the corners. When I create new graphics, I laminate them and use magnetic strips on the back (comes in 8 1/2 x 11 sheets and you cut it to size). I have also used the roles of magnetic tape in the past also but found that peels up too easily due to being stored in a roll. So the flat magnet sheets have worked out the best for me.

Are they any particular brand? What about those magnets that people use for business adverts? Also, the small round ones - I assume you mean the ceramic ones - are they treated so they don't scratch or do you just get the ones that Michael's sells and then glue them on?

The ones that I have are something like this. They are small and silver (smaller than a dime) but really strong.

I just use a couple of them in the corners, if needed, otherwise the graphics tend to slide or fall off of the doors with more paint on them. It also keeps them in place when opening or closing the door.
It isn't ideal but a good workaround if you already have magnets printed out on the magnetic paper :)

Paper mag. sheets kept falling off when door slammed, have a 9 yo who wouldn't hold the door.

Oh, yes. I don't think those ones leave marks like the ceramics do. Do you glue/stick them on the back in the corners or just put them on the top of your item in the corners?

Since they are so small, I just bring a bunch of them with us and see which magnets need them when we get there. :) We just put a couple over the top corners for reinforcement.

I think those rare earth magnets are great. Keep in mind, they are also dangerous to small children who think they are candy.

Oh, that is an excellent point. I hadn't even thought about that since I don't have little ones anymore. If we use them next year I'll going to make sure they are only used at the top of the door and not down low where little hands might be able to grab them :thumbsup2

I use business card magnets like these:

THey have an adhesive on one side so I just peel and stick it on the back of whatever I want to turn into a magnet. And you can reuse them by cutting them out (or maybe peeling off) and then using glu the next time.

I found they stuck well on the Dream and Fantasy. Iliked the flexibility of beig able to turn nearly anything into a magent - post card, pictures we printed at home, etc. I could print on picture paper or card stock (much less expensive than magnet paper) and then turn it into a magnet.
