Cruiseline and points question

Hey all!

I've been kind of out of the loop for a while and I'm not having much luck finding answers by searching soooo...........

I'm confused by the point charts for the cruiseline.

1st-- if we even did this...I'd be looking for Sept.14 to be on the trip (our anniversary). I see Sept.15 as value season and the 29th and Sept.1 as reg. season but which season would the 14th fall? are those the dates the ship sails? It's for a 7 night eastern as an example.

and say it fell in reg. season ...so the 247pts for a navigators verandah...is that 247 each for my dh and I? meaning the cruise would cost 494pts? or is the 247 for the first 2 people?

I've been a member for 10yrs now and have yet to book outside of a DVC resort so any light shed would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! If you want to be on the cruise on Sept 14 for your anniversary, then you have to pick the Western for Sept 8-15(Value) but if you really want the Eastern then it'll be the day after your anniv. which is Sept 15-22(Value). I believed the 247 points is per person, thats why a lot people saying that using points on a cruise is not worth it, i think you should consider renting/transfer your points ($10/pt) to get the most out of it, I just checked DCL for 2 people on Cat 7 (sep 8-15) it'll be around $2800. I hope this helps.

Ouch! No wonder everyones always saying rent the pts out and pay cash! Even with my full alotment of 225pts I'd still have to borrow....eesh.
