Has anyone used them? I put in a request and got a REALLY great rate from "cruise vacation outlet." It seems too good to be true and I'm hesitant to book with them (it's a Carnival cruise.)

Any input would be appreciated!

I tried to use them, got mixed results, a couple of bids that were terrible, higher than booking direct and a couple that were really good. I contacted one of the good ones, she put a 48 hr hold on a cabin, but then never responded to any phone calls or emails. She finially got back to be a week later and asked if I had made a decision about my Dec 24th cruise which was a totally wrong date. So no, no real luck with them

We had awesome results with Cruise Compete-- we saved a huge $$ on our Disney cruise thanks to a Magic for Less group rate. Cruise Compete is just the middleman that hooks you up with agencies, so you'd want to check out the agency that gives you the quote. Not familiar with Cruise Vacation Outlet, but try checking them with BBB online (www.bbb.org) and check it out!

I used them for my last DCL cruise and got a quote from mouseears vacation that was cheaper on cruisecompete.com than the quote mouseears gave me directly on their site. Go figure. Smartcruiser.com has some really great rates and is BBB certified.

I researched the cruise I wanted & the Cat -- and entered the information on the CruiseCompete site. When I got the quotes back - I did a quick check with BBB with the agency that gave me the lowest figure - It was Mouseears Vacations/Cruising Co. I think a Cat 7 (special Eastern - Sept '04), for $ 2200 incl. all port & taxes was a good rate.

Unfortunately - Hurricane Frances had other plans for the cruise -- but that did help towards the payment of my next cruise -
