I'm sure there are a bajillion threads about children, I just wanted to know, would it be more 'relaxing' after our Nov 15-23 stay at WDW to hang out at a Deluxe resort for a few days or take a four day cruise? I have the 4 day Nov 23 booked.
So, what I am wondering is, if you have a child this age, how fun is the cruise??

I would think after several days of crowds and heat you would want to hang out on a boat with the cool breeze, the pools and a cocktail. I took my first cruise with my then just turned 2 yo son. We had a blast with him. He went into flounder's nursery w/ some separation anxiety but got over it quick. This gave me and dh some time alone. This would not happen staying at the deluxe hotel. The shows were fun but he lost interest 1/2 way through them. Dinner was fine but we had early seating.

I say take the cruise. I hope you have fun.

Also, you can take a 2 year old you o the Oceaneer's Club but you have to stay with them. Check with the counselors to find out when is the best time to come. Maybe when they are having a free play time when your little one could play on the climbing/sliding stuff.

I would definitely vote for the cruise. No worries about where you will eat or how much the food costs. Several folks recommend a verandah when cruising with the small ones so Mom and Dad can enjoy the ocean while the little one naps.

that's the reason why we booked a verandah! our DSs were 2 & 4 at the time, and they still napped. so we thought what would we do, while they were napping. verandah! solved our problem!

as for our DS2...he had a blast! (we all did!!!!) he really enjoyed seeing the characters. he ran down the hall, chasing goofy (as he was headed somewhere), and our DS2 was screaming at the top of his lung, "goofy, come back!!" it was so cute!

he did like going to nursery reef. he went there twice, but every time we went back to pick him up, he started getting teary eyed, running to us! (we think he missed us a lot!)

and he did enjoy going through the climbing apparatus at the club. we always stayed there for a bit, while dropping off our DS4, so our DS2 will get to play there a while.

your 2 yo will have a great time. enjoy!! :flower:

Thanks for the replys!! I don't have a verrandah booked, because it is the cruise over Thanksgiving and there wasn't any choice of rooms when I booked. I figured one of us and ds6 will go do something while the other stays with dd2 and naps.

We just cam off of our June 2-5 cruise with out 3 year old and she had a blast. When it was time to nap. we all needed one. but after about an hour she was ready to go and there was alot for her to do. Just like another poster said... You can take her to the Oceanner Club, but you can leave her on a trail basis if she is potty trained. f not just stay with her.

Also, if she needs a nap at a time when the adults have something to do. Make some advanced reservations for the Flounders Reef, and she can play and sleep there. Goof Luck and have a wonderful time!!
